I have only had the router for 30 days but it works really well so far. It is a little bulky and the lights are very bright but both bandwidths work well. Great signal strength.

I already had the NetGear R6300 and was happy with its performance but it didn't quite reach all the way to the other end of my house. I was going to get a network extender but the price on the newer R6400 was too good to pass up. By the time Best Buy matched Amazon and I used my Rewards, the R6400 was only a few dollars more than a network extender. The newer model with its 3 antennas gives me the range I needed and allows me to use the faster 5G as well.

I am replacing my Asus RT-N56U. I was hoping this Netgear would meet or exceed my expectations. The setup was relatively easy. Downloading the Apps for Genie, Ready Share, and USB Printer was fairly straight forward. They work fine with some timing delays you need to watch out for when setting up. The Asus, was able to connect my Laser Printer without any USB type of program added to all computers. My Asus unit was able to transmit 5GHz in a range of 30 feet and loosing some of the speed the further away you were, no big deal. The Netgear takes a drastic nose dive beyond the 15 foot range. A computer that was able to connect and see on the Asus 5GHz transmission can not even see the 5GHz on the Netgear. This is a computer in my guest bedroom. Which leads me to a problem with the Guest Network on the Netgear. my guests now have to be in the same room as I am just to connect to the Netgear Guest, because it is broadcasting at the 5GHz level. My room is a 40'x15' room. The Asus unit my guests were able to use the Guest Network on 2.4GHz anywhere in the house and get relatively decent speed. The massive antennas on the Netgear doesn't get you any further distance or strength, actually less then the internal antenna on the Asus. I was able to connect to my Asus unit sitting behind a 50" plasma for years. I now have to elevate the Netgear above the TV to bring up the 2.4GHz speed from 20MBPs to 40MBPs at the 30 foot range. Understand on the 5GHz within the 15 foot range I can get the full 125MBPs speed matching the Ethernet Connection. I have used several other Routers for various customers and facilities including TP-Link and Hawking. The Netgear Software is better than TP-Link but doesn't even come close to the Hawking for Range, nor the Asus. This Netgear is now about the same price as the TP-Link AC1750 and I would choose the Netgear over the TP-Link but thinking of returning the Netgear and getting another Asus unit at a much higher cost. I contacted Netgear Support and all they kept saying don't go beyond the 15 feet with 5GHz, no tweak, no channel change will improve it's performance. I am getting -70dBm at 5GHz where my computer with a 600N adapter can't even see it, but I used my Alienware laptop with an upgraded Intel Wireless card where it see's and connect to the 5GHz, but gets about 1/4th of the speed of the 2.4GHz. I am not in a 1 room apartment where the Netgear would be fine, I'm in an average 2400 sq ft home with a router centrally located.

Good coverage on both floors of a 2500 sq ft 2 story house. Good signal strength, without drops or disconnects on wi-fi. Speed is good for web browsing without long load times. Streaming video and movies is smooth over wi-fi. I advised my sister to buy one to replace her old low speed router, and she couldn't be happier.

Greatly improved my signal strength. My last router I had to stay on 2.4GHz band because the 5GHz signal was too weak. Now I can stay on 5GHz throughout the house and had a great signal on the 2.4GHz band from inside 2 houses away. Software on the router is good. Wish there was a way to dim the lights. I am able to use it as a hallway nightlight from 10 feet away around a corner in another room. You can turn the lights off, but then you lose that information. I bought this for under $100, so it was a great deal. Allowing me to improve my router without buying one of the really expensive ones I don't need.

I bought this to replace my old, outdated and broken router. Our house does not have an open floor plan so there are many twists and turns in our 1 1/2 story house. The installation was simple, but I did use the Netgear service to walk me through it just to make sure I didn't mess anything up. We keep the router at one end of the house and when I am near it I get 3 bars (the most)...when I go to the other end I get 2 bars plus I have coverage outside all around the house. The signal upstairs is the same as the downstairs....2.4 G...I reserve 5 G for when we have a lot of people over for the Holidays though it can be used all the time. We only have 6 items that use the router so 2.4 is fine.

Do you love life in the fast lane? Then this might not be for you! It's not a car, so can't help you get around, but in terms of internet connectivity, I can go most rooms in my 3 story house, and still have 120/30 connection speeds! I don't even need the 5g! Do you have lot's of guests who visit? No need to give them your special password, you can just make one up on the spot and let them use it for a few minutes, then change it again without telling! Maybe they give you a piece of chocolate every time you change it in order to get that connectivity back! Do you work from home and school from home? Then this is the router for you! I have as many as 7 devices connected at once, with video calls, movie streaming, and surfing the web all seamlessly! Great Quality and worth every penny!

Was looking for a new router to replace our Verizon Fios router. Needed something with better range and built in security. This Nighthawk fixed our terrible range with the entire house. Our two Roku sticks went from fair signal strength to excellent. Hard wired the PS4 and the speeds are 68/48 which jumped from 20/5 a huge boost for online gameplay. We have 300/300 Fios and the router wasn’t giving us anything close to those speeds unless we were hard wired with Ethernet. Love how I can control everything from the Nighthawk app. One word of advise, DO NOT UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE while setting up the router. It slowed down the WiFi and wired speeds drastically. Someone on the Netgear forum said to downgrade and it fixed the issue. I am getting my full speeds again. Eventually plan on setting up a VPN with this router. Got it on sale and would highly recommend it!

I had an older cisco/linksys router that was flakey and finally died. I choose this router to replace it because of the expanded channels, reach, and reliability. It's been a couple of months now and I could not be happier. It's been as close to plug it in and forget it as technology seems to get these days. I've had no issues at all with reliability, my speeds are better than ever and I don't have weird issues due to the number of devices on my network sharing the bandwidth. This is a very nice router that gets the job done.

Purchased this router after reviewing many routers online. Family's five year old router wasn't doing the job to run smart tv, two iPads, iMac and several tablets and smart phones. We suffered with weak signals or no signals in rooms of our two story home. Thought I'd have to buy new router and range extender. The Netgear-ac 1750 runs all our devices seamlessly, no dead zones. No extender needed. The iPad app allows me to shut off Internet to devices at bedtime for preteens. For the price point I'm extremely happy.

Great speed and range for Wifi. Adjusting the antenna helps with signal strength around the home. Multiple streaming devices with very little lag with all devices on at the same time. Multiple options to customize and 2 wifi networks possible. 1 for guess and 1 for private.

I needed a new router due to my old one. Well being old lol. I would loose connection from the living room to the bathroom and I live in a one bedroom apt. I couldnt decide what router to get since I have had mine for a few years with no problems till now. So i decided to stick to netgear t hats when I seen this box. I can say I do not regret buying it. It's fast and has long range. Now I can even be in my car in the back parking of the apartment with a good connection.

Setup is easy for the less tech savvy. Range is good (about 40 feet radius without dropping). Consistent high speed within range. Only con is the lights... it allows you to turn them off but one always remains on... if you’re putting it in a bedroom that is a bit of a pain.

This AC router has fixed a few issues I was having with my older N router. Streaming on multiple devices no longer causes one or the other to buffer endlessly, no more longer do I have to choose a slower bit rate for steaming. No more deadspots in the house. It was easy to set up and update. I would recommend this router to everyone.
