Great all around router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super easy to setup. Intelligent interface for the printer or NAS setup. Gigabit ethernet ports for the wired connections. Very reliable system. Also includes MAC filtering and other privacy options. If I had any negatives they would be that the status lights on the front are bright and I wish that I could dim them.

Easy setup
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.super easy setup and great range. This router is considerably better than the 12-year old Netgear router that we previously owned. Phones always connect when we return home and we next to never have to reset the router! I wish we had made the move years ago!

Great Router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was easy to set up and connect all of my (our) devices needed. It works well with the amount of devices I (we) have. I have it located downstairs and it works just as well on the main floor. We have no problem using multi devices at the same time.

Can't complain
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looked at a lot of routers and prices. Needed something capable of connecting substantial number of devices for my son and his 4 roommates and all their devices. This one fit the bill without costing a fortune. No complaints so far. Works great, set up was easy for him.

Very nice router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NETGEAR comes through again. I tried a couple other brands of routers and found their reliability and performance did not match the consistency of NETGEAR products. Also really appreciate the ease of set up. Adding a sticker on top of the unit that contains the SSID and password is a nice feature.

Nice to be able to handle all the internet devices
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice to be able to handle all the internet devices this family and this house have acquired. They are really brining to add up! Laptops, tablets, tvs, phones, front door, security, and thermostat. More connections to come later I'll bet - this will be able to control them all! Love the range of this thing as well!

Much better range on this router than what I had.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router because of poor performance from my previous, inferior router. Great range and no more continuous disconnects from wifi.

High speed and easy setup.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After shopping around for a replacement for my old wireless router, I settled on this one. The dual band, guest login, and high speed were all factors as well as the price. I use this for my home network and it works great. The dual bakes allow us to setup the faster signal for Netflix and the slower signal for devices that are used for browsing only. The "slow" signal is pretty fast though. The router also has a guest login which will keep any authorized visitors off of your home network of computers, shared drives, security systems, printers, and any other devices that you have logged in. It's extremely easy to setup and only takes a few minutes. The user interface that you use on your computer is very user friendly and you have all the info you need, like password and connection status up front. Great product. The only drawback is that it is a bit big and the white status lights on the unit are very bright. It also serves as a nightlight for our living room now, so I guess it's not that bad, lol.

Solved my connection problems!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old Netgear router was failing after 10+ years - intermittent connections and never did reach the opposite side of the house. This solved everything and even provided exciting options like being able to set up Guest access to my network in addition to my primary access, and I could do both at two speeds (so FOUR accesses). I also have the ability to control my network online away from home. And the included USB slot makes backups so much easier.

Bad router, good access point.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TL;DR: Poor routing capabilities. Works much better in Access Point mode. Don’t recommend buying unless you are prepared to set up a standalone router. Background: Small town home, two stories, 400Mbps internet service. Combined with Motorola MB7621 24x8 DOCSIS 3.1 modem and (eventually) TP-Link ER605 wired router. Total cost of setup is ~$270 if you’re weighing whether to buy a better router+modem combo. Got this to get out from under the yoke of rented ISP equipment, along with a standalone cable modem. When I was using it as a router, it would frequently lose internet connection entirely, and the traffic speeds would vary pretty wildly from one minute to the next. It definitely struggled with DHCP and DNS configurations on the LAN and WAN sides. Speeds were bad even for wired LAN connections, which would generally cap out at about 100Mbps. Every once in a while I would break the 150 mark, but it was rare. When I plugged more than 2 LAN devices into the ethernet ports it would almost immediately give up. It also completely stopped working a couple times. I think I’ve factory reset it 4-5 times and I’ve only had it 3 weeks. I saw some reviews online saying that the CPU is just not powerful enough for Gb speeds on hard and wireless connections. That seems to track what I was experiencing, but even when it was only wireless clients it wasn’t very good. I ended up buying a fairly cheap ($60) TP-Link ethernet-only router to connect to my modem and then put this Netgear device in AP mode. It works fantastically in that role, regularly giving me 300+Mbps speeds on wireless devices, while my wired devices can now be connected to the TP-Link router’s LAN ports. 3 stars for good range and solid transmission rates through most of my house, and excellent function as a wireless access point, which was very easy to set up actually. -2 stars for being a pretty terrible router if you want layer 3 consistency and speed, and for having to pay extra to get my network where I want it to be.
