I looked on line for a router with a strong signal to reach my television which is 50 feet from my computer. The Netgear AC 1750 does an excellent job. We don't have any trouble streaming movies to two tvs plus gaming all at the same time. We also have six smart phones using it also. It has a lot of walls to go through and it does a great job.

Purchased this router after reading reviews. Needed signal to cover whole house. The AC signal is nice with my newer Apple devices. Has 3 antennas and vents on the side for adequate cooling while letting modem stack on top. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to upgrade a router for your large house.

I can't say anything bad about this product. It has really good range. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Great product. Dual band routers have always better for tv streaming and faster internet speeds for multi floor homes.

I needed a router that could withstand speeds above 100mbps and I have tried other routers before this one. the AC1750 is by far the best. Plugged in directly to my modem I get 300mbps. Over the 5GHz I get about 280. Perfect. No issues with as many at 12 devices connected at a time. A little pricey but worth it.

This router was a replacement for my many years old router. It was easy to set up (with little to no networking knowledge) and the response time for loading pages was much quicker. I have not experienced any buffering or lag time while connecting. I would recommend this router.

TL;DR: Poor routing capabilities. Works much better in Access Point mode. Don’t recommend buying unless you are prepared to set up a standalone router.
Background: Small town home, two stories, 400Mbps internet service. Combined with Motorola MB7621 24x8 DOCSIS 3.1 modem and (eventually) TP-Link ER605 wired router. Total cost of setup is ~$270 if you’re weighing whether to buy a better router+modem combo.
Got this to get out from under the yoke of rented ISP equipment, along with a standalone cable modem. When I was using it as a router, it would frequently lose internet connection entirely, and the traffic speeds would vary pretty wildly from one minute to the next. It definitely struggled with DHCP and DNS configurations on the LAN and WAN sides.
Speeds were bad even for wired LAN connections, which would generally cap out at about 100Mbps. Every once in a while I would break the 150 mark, but it was rare. When I plugged more than 2 LAN devices into the ethernet ports it would almost immediately give up.
It also completely stopped working a couple times. I think I’ve factory reset it 4-5 times and I’ve only had it 3 weeks.
I saw some reviews online saying that the CPU is just not powerful enough for Gb speeds on hard and wireless connections. That seems to track what I was experiencing, but even when it was only wireless clients it wasn’t very good.
I ended up buying a fairly cheap ($60) TP-Link ethernet-only router to connect to my modem and then put this Netgear device in AP mode. It works fantastically in that role, regularly giving me 300+Mbps speeds on wireless devices, while my wired devices can now be connected to the TP-Link router’s LAN ports.
3 stars for good range and solid transmission rates through most of my house, and excellent function as a wireless access point, which was very easy to set up actually. -2 stars for being a pretty terrible router if you want layer 3 consistency and speed, and for having to pay extra to get my network where I want it to be.

This router is easy to install and set up. It runs very fast meaning that it can deliver wirelessly the full speed of my cable service which currently runs at 66 mbps. There is no need for a direct connection. It does not slow down when being accessed by multiple computers. I am totally happy with this purchase.

Has been more than 1 month I bough this. Was easy to set up. All devices (phones, TV, tablet) did not have problems in connecting. Dual bands are great. When I bought the price was >$100 but later it reduced to <$100. Has been getting consistent speed (download up to 60 GB and upload up to 5.5 GB).

Excellent router with great software. Setup was easy and straight forward. Speed on the net was impressive. I did return the item how ever. Clerk informed me it was compatible with some software I wanted to install. Further research once installed revealed clerk was in error.

...we returned the router because it was not necessary for the intended application. An alleged IT expert (Uh huh, sure) at the Better Half’s company said it was absolutely needed to work from home with their antiquated technology (10+ year old phone set and don’t even get me started on their actual programs!). That being said, the setup was VERY simple with easy to understand instructions. After conferring with a typical high school kid, we returned this router simply because it was not needed. Off our experience of just a few days, it performed well & would be a good choice. If you have technical questions, find a 15 year old & give him/her a game card or a few bucks for snacks. Turns out they know more about modern tech than a Fortune 1000 IT “expert” with a pretty certificate of achievement.

Setup was a breeze. Lived with Optimum router way too long. Normally have 14 devices connected and this router handles it flawlessly.
Even my printer connects to the network 5x faster then it connected to my old router.
Would recommend highly.
