I have two kids who will be on their computers on line playing mind craft while one is streaming a movie on netflixs and the other is watching utube on their tv. So they have 4 devices connected at the same time. My wife might be on Facebook at the same time, so that's 5 devices connected at the same time, and the router can handle all of that with no problem

I was looking for a wireless router that could reach the furthest corners of my house. I had an old Asus wireless N router that had good connectivity, but just couldn't offer more than one bar in my two furthest rooms. This router does a better job and initial set up was easy. The only drawback so far are the number of super bright lights on the top front of the router.

This is the 3rd router that I have used and the only one that works great throughout our home. Also, it has the same speed as hard wiring, when I'm within 20' of the router, and sometimes further. I have always dealt with the loss of speed due to using a router, but not with this guy. I'm glad to get good advice from a Best Buy associate on this purchase. I'm very happy and they had a great price!

The net gear wireless router is fast and reliable. I never loose a wifi signal and have great coverage anywhere in my home.

Best router I've ever had with superb coverage and speed! Turned it on, plugged in to my power line adapter and cable modem and bam! I have a full signal all the way out to the sidewalk. We run three PCs, two laptops, and an assortment of phones/tablets plus a 4k Roku smart tv. Zero lag.

This is a very nice router. Easy to set up even if you're not a techie. Has good range, connectivity, and security.

very happy with this router it gives a far range and easily get WiFi through out a two story house and even covers the yard when using the 2.4ghz band, very fast speeds 700+ usually, simple setup and good software features, very easier to use was going to buy a mesh system but glad I tried this first

Simple to set up. A bit larger foot print than I wanted but range and performance are fantastic. Much better than xfinity router/modem combo hands down

Was looking for a modem to provide solid signal throughout the house and this works great. Was previously just using the standard modem from the cable provider which was horrible. Could barely get 10Mbps in the next room over. Upstairs, the signal would consistently get dropped. Now with the Netgear, I can get a full 120Mbps upstairs and throughout the house. Setup was a breeze as well and I didn't need to change the existing settings of my network which was awesome.

I had to upgrade my existing router as it was dropping connection, also I was not able to consistently connect all my devices. This router does a good job on that front, has dual band and seems to have better range, signal strength is stronger all around my house with this router. Overall satisfied with the purchase. Reason for giving 1 star less - set up is not plug and play, I had to call customer service and it took me around an hour to set it up with their help. Other than that I am happy with the purchase.

This router is even good for beginners. There is a app you can install on your phone that makes it super easy to manage. It gives you simple explanations on what things are and what they mean. It has great range too. I have had no problem getting a signal anywhere in my apartment or outside in my car which isn't close to my apt. since I'm park under a car port so I would definitely recommend it for a two story house too so about a medium size house with garage.

This router is one step below their famed NightHawk model. Based on the excellent reviews and the lesser price, I opted for it. Excellent decision to do so. I basically plugged it in and it pretty much installed itself (or at least guided me very nicely through it). Performance wise, great no problems. Very powerful and intelligent router. I recommend this one unconditionally. Looks cool too. Kind of a stealth bomber motif...

I knew that I needed a new router but when I purchased the Netgear R6400 I did not realize that I was upgrading my entire small home network by about 1000%. Not only did my high speed internet communication improve but myTivo, which is connected showed a marked improvement. I use Suddenlink as my internet service provider, since I have no choice, and their service, to be nice to them, just plain sucks. My Netflix and Amazon Prime Video usually drags and we could never watch a movie without it stopping at least ten times to buffer up. Now, with this new router, that problem is gone. And that is just a couple of the improvements. I can't shout the praises of this Netgear piece loudly enough.

I don't work in the IT world and needed a router for my sizeable house with multiple devices. The Netgear R6400 is easy to set up and great on speed. Multiple devices in the house are being used at all times and the speed doesn't slow down. Plus, I love the way the Netgear software lets you see which devices are connected and great to monitor non authorized users.

The router was very easy to setup with minimal hassle. Once setup it delivers excellent range and speed.

We came home from vacation to find our Netgear N900 router had died while we were gone. We went to Staples and bought a Netgear AC1200 router because we needed one that would stand on a window sill to broadcast the wireless signal to the laptop at our shop, which is at least a football field away. Half the time it couldn't even find the router, but when it did, it said the signal was very good. So we returned it after a couple weeks and I researched routers on the internet and decided on this one. We had to drive to Best Buy in a town an hour away to buy it because Staples doesn't carry it. It doesn't stand up though, so I just have it sitting on the window sill leaning against the window. It has been great! We have a very good signal at the shop all the time.

I have Xfinity as my internet provider, and recently learned that I get only a fraction of the internet speed that I actually pay for, renting Comcasts' modem/router combo. I've been with them for over a year so figuring this out just now was very discouraging... The BestBuy employee suggested this item based on my internet needs and it's so much better! The range of the wifi thorough out my home is a huge improvement alone, but the speed of every device, TV etc. has gone up exponentially, So I highly recommend this product, and the setup was very easy. Keep in mind, however, that I did have to purchase a modem to go along with this product in order to get the results I did, so the price of everything all together was a bit on the high end, that would probably be the biggest negative. But all in all, it's been great so far ^_^

Product was easy to set up and has a good range covering a 5000 sq ft house. Data speed is very good

Great range. Very easy to install and set up. Not for small spaces. Pretty large piece of equipment.
