I decided to give the router a try mostly because the good reviews and the relatively decent cost compared to the higher speed routers. This router is blazing fast compared to my previous ones and it covers my whole home at full signal strength.

Changed our router to Netgear R6400. It works great. TV on patio able to receive signal.

I replaced my older Netgear Gigabit Wireless N router. Installed very easily and performance is remarkably improved for streaming, downloads, browsing, and it reaches all parts of the house now (biggest reason for my upgrade) for our laptops and smartphones.

This works well for a single room to 2 room area. Much more than that - especially with doors and walls between and you can expect to lose the 5ghz reception. Honestly overall its been a good modem/wireless router (meaning you can access it for wifi) except for two significant (to me issues) especially at the $120 price. 1) it does not have a WPS button which means you have to log into it with every single piece of equipment. 2) if you like absolute darkness (or even some darkness) you should not have this in your bedroom (somewhat problematic if you share a common area with flatmates. This device is bright and there is no discernible way to turn off the lights other than to unplug it and lose your access to the internet.

Works very well. I have a two story home and the signal is strong throughout our house.

I have a medium/large home, N600 plus mesh extender still left some dead zones. AC1750 has transformed coverage, no need for mesh extender. It's a great value router with exceptional range, and it looks really cool too!

Bought it for my parents because they were using a N300 router that was dreadfully slow. This router expanded the range so my parents didn’t need a WiFi extender and tripled their WiFi speeds over the N300 they had before.

I got this for my Mom and Dad And he live in a good size home and it reaches in the far parts hoe their home with ease. If you need a router that has great speed and very little dead spot's this in the unit for you.
