I used a different modem then my Comcast one and paired it with this router and the internet speeds definitely increased. The range is good, but not outstanding.

Glad I bought it

Some pluses and minuses

However, a problem I did have with the new Netgear router was when using Zoom. I would get multiple freezes during a Zoom call. Tech support walked me through some adjustments that reduced the size of data packs in play. Unfortunately this did not correct the problem. Getting through to Teck support was not easy (long wait times). I gave up and returned the unit. I correrted both problems by getting a newer router from my internet supplier that also included WIFI.
