NETGEAR Extender AC1750 Dual Band Extender - Great

I'm not a techie, but felt I had enough confidence to install the exender. After reading the "Quick Start" instructions, I realized that there were two different methods for installation. One was using the NightHawk app and the other was for installing on a WPS system. After much trial and error and trying the NightHawk app and not being very successful, I determined that I had a WPS system. I followed the installation instructions for that system and the extender came to life. The extender has helped improve wifi service as my router is in an upstairs back bedroom and the computer is downstairs at the other end of the house. I'm very happy with the performance and is exactly what was needed.

Setup is typical of Netgear products - fairly user friendly with the occasional "whoops" requiring me to start over. This was largely due to me NOT wanting to have the extender use the same SSID as my main WIFI. Setup took maybe 30 minutes NOT using the app. What's good: Speed when connected Broadcast Range What's not so good: Its huge, and even when plugged in to the top of a standard wall outlet, it's difficult to plug something in below it. At times it seems to lose connection with my router. Full disclosure, my router (also a netgear) had been acting up aftera recent firmware update, may have been responsible for the connection loss. If a knew for sure that the connection loss was unrelated to this extender, I would have upped the review to 4 stars.

It works great and is really easy to set up. It let me pushy my WiFi signal through my detached garage where before I only had a little signal in the corner nearest my house.

Range Entender Keeps the Connection Solid

I have two of these extenders, one for my traveling rig and one for a permanent install in one of the venues where I work. With up to one thousand people in a room having cell phones pinging every router in range the extender keeps my iPad connected to the systems I need to control with a solid connection. I've found that pairing Netgear extenders with Netgear routers gives the best results. I recommend setting the extender up with a wired network connection rather than using WiFi. Published user manuals are online with a link to click that connects a laptop to the extender. The rest is simply clicking check boxes and setting passwords. It couldn't be easier.

Easy to set up. Better wifi signal upstairs in our bedroom. It’s not blazing fast but it gets the job done. No complaints. I got it 50% off during the black friday sale.

This extender worked perfectly. My router is upstairs on one side of the house. I had a week signal downstairs on the other side of the house. I’m not very tech savvy but got it to work with little trouble. The app was another story. I’m sure that it had more to do with me than the app. I didn’t really need the app anyway. I just needed a full strength Wi-Fi signal throughout my home. That is exactly what I wound up with.

I tried a couple of other extenders that didn’t work. One just didn’t do anything and the other was so complicated I never did get it set up. I have a Geek friend and he was going to do it for me but when he checked it out he said it was also useless. He told me to get Netgear and he would set it up for me. I got it and turned out it was so easy to set up I did it myself. It works great and I’m so happy with it.

Took all weekend to figure out. 1st, I only wanted this to reach Ring Cam outside. It worked right away, but messed with the rest of devices. Had to reset all my Apple TV’s and ps4. Couldn’t get them to work. Figured out how to use this device for only camera and not the rest. I named the extenders 2.4g 5g SSID name different from my modem/router. The camera is only with the extender and the rest of my devices on modem/router and works great. 3 stars because directions could’ve been better and had to factory reset devices to get them to work.

I am really pleased with the Netgear AC1750 Dualband Wifi Range Extender. It literally took less than 10 minutes to setup, and that included taking it out of the box. I purchased 2 of them and strategically placed them in different corners of my house with the Netgear Mesh router centrally located, and voila, it extended my wifi coverage throughout my home with no loss of signal.

Easy setup. I have Gig speeds around my residence so I needed to expand it to an area of my residence which had a dead zone. Once all set up, I realized that this extender does not support WiFi 6. But WILL work with it. So once I enter the dead spot zone, my connection changes to a regular WiFi connect with the same name as my original connect. So the mesh part is correct and works. I also found out that the speeds of this is not super fast, but moderate. It will keep you connected, but not so much at super high speeds.

I needed an extender for I have a fairly large house with a lot of hallways. Took the extender out of the box and had it connected and working within 5 minutes. I placed the extender in the middle of my house. I now have total coverage. Best part is I don't have to change my Routers name.

I am using this Netgear AC1750 as an extender, sometimes called a repeater. It works decent enough. The step by step setup is great. I also like the fact that it plugs to the wall directly and there are no wires to hide. The downside is, it's harder to plug in a UPS battery backup system.

It works great. I have tried other extenders and could not get them to connect. Wasted money. This extender worked the first time I installed it. It was a simple hook-u. I am pleased with the extender. One of the main things that the extender has, is a dual-band wi-fi range. This feature made the difference.
