This range extender improved the WiFi signal in two rooms in my home. I placed it midway between my existing WiFi router and the rooms with a weak signal.

The mesh feature was superior to other WiFi extenders. However the total mbps was minimal and this was tested with Verizon Fios Gigabit internet speed. The way it transmits the connection is wave like and does have dead spots like a kitchen Island and walls. The device was great working near your Modemn but weak if it was in another room. I used speed test App with several reads and different times of the day and rooms to verify this; it was mediocre results for the price.

The Netgear AC1750 is a good wifi extender. The setup App was good but there is a trick. You need to turn off the mobile data during the set up. Once I did that, the setup worked well and it does a great job extending the wifi to my home office all the way across the house from my router.

Installed on the second floor, two floors above the NETGEAR modem/router. Two furthest rooms from the router went from, on average, 20 MBPS to 90 MBPS and 40 MBPS to 110 MBPS. It’s been a game changer with two of us working from home and a high-schooler and college student distance learning. Easy set up but pricier than other options. Still worthy of 5 stars.

Moved my office to the basement and the Xfinity router was barely getting signal down there. This took 5 mins to set up and I went from speeds of 200 kb/s to 130 mb/s. Night and day difference.

If you plug it in a location that the main WiFi can connect you will get a full strong extended signal. We had no WiFi reception in our master bedroom and now full bars. Plugged in outlet just outside room in hall that got a WiFi signal. If you plug in to an area that has no signal in ur home then it will not connect therefore you will not get an extended signal.

We added this device upstairs because we put our modem and wireless router downstairs at the other end of our house and we have 10+ devices that run at any given time. It was a good addition and I haven't had issues although my wife's iPad loses connection sometimes, not sure what is up with that since the extender is in the next room. Could be user interface error.
