Purchased to improve Wi-Fi connectivity issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Last year, I purchased an HP laptop and was constantly having problems with the computer dropping connection from my Wi-fi, even when I was within 5 feet of router. Even tried a Wi-Fi range extender, which still didn't help much. I bought this Netgear wireless adapter as a replacement for the built-in Wi-Fi adapter, having tried everything else. Installation was a breeze, and connectivity has improved dramatically...not one dropped connection, even from over 30 feet from the router. Also, the speed has really improved. Highly recommended.

Shockingly Underwhelming

If you need to watch YouTube or download some files for a project, it'll handle with ease. However, if you're looking to watch in anything over 720p or you plan on doing online gaming; This isn't your best option. Easy Plugin, easy enough set-up, but where it prevails in versatility, it lacks heavily in performance. All in all, if you're looking for a casual web searching experience this adapter is perfect for you... Although that's about the most you'll get.

Great little dongle for the $$$
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently had to move into a new apartment and unfortuantely could not hard-wire my gaming PC to my router anymore. Although I would never recommend wireless over a wired connection to your internet box, this little dongle is a great alternative. I game pretty regularly (I live by myself with a 100 mbps internet package) and have never had an issue with lag or download speeds. Defintely worth the purchase!

setup is impossible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product for my desktop computer which does not have wireless capabilities. The setup was extremely difficult and was on the phone with Netgear for 3 hours and was still not able to get it to work. I returned it and purchased a different product which worked much better.
