I used a WNDA3100v.3 dual band Netgear WiFi receiver for about 10 years or so. It was an excellent WiFi receiver up to approx. 300' and only lost contact with the router on rare occasions. This new receiver also a dual band, has so far lost contact with the router which is about 120' away no less than 4 times since I bought it a month ago. In all 4 cases, it felt very warm to the touch and I suspect that it was shutting itself down for heating reasons so it wouldn't burn itself out or catch fire. For the casual user, on the internet for a few hours per day, this is probably sufficient. But my computer is on for an average of 17 hours per day and sometimes for stretches of 24 to 36 hours at a time. I would not want to trust this small of a receiver to that much use unless I was led to believe that it would be able to handle it. In fact, it apparently is not able to handle that kind of use. I would only recommend this WiFi model to a friend who uses their computer only for a few hours at a time in order to allow the receiver to cool down.

Worked like a charm!!!! Recently upgraded my old computer and broke the wifi on it. Don't ask. But know I got a new wifi on a usb!!! Whew! Also bought long ethernet cable just in case... That review is later.

Purchased for my son-in-law. He says it works like a charm, like it's supposed to and according to store info. Was purchased at store, so he could look it over, and he says no problems in using so far, and works as advertised.

Bought this for my niece. She has a desktop with wifi card, and this was a great price. Plug and play. Setup was as simple as with a built-in wifi card, and connection speeds are solid once connected. I’m happy with this purchase.

We bought the NETGEAR AC600 WiFi Dual Band Adapter to back up our newest computer. It has huge storage despite its small, convenient size and the whole process went smoothly as we transferred critical information from an old machine to the just-bought HP unit.

My old adapter lasted for a decade before it finally died and this one has worked out great since then. I love the size and the fact that it doesn’t stick out the back of my computer. Price is right and easy to install.

My tablet did not come with wireless internet capability but this product solved the problem.

Bought this to get an old computer set up on WiFi without needing to mess with the router and phone lines. Worked perfectly. I didn't need to mess with wiring and technology to complete the project. I am 84, technologically handicapped and intend to stay that way.

This was a great purchase for an older desktop computer that did not have wifi built in. We were able to move it to a location that didn't require a cable and now it is very useful! Simple to install and use!

Only problem is that needed WiFi loaded and had to use a CD and my new computer does not come with a CD drive.

I bought the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 and it was a beast. Way too big to fit a base on my desk and too big to put in the PC without the base. Swapped it out for this little bad boy and it's been perfect. Speed is great and the cost was reasonable.

Bought this to hook up to an older desktop and it has done the job. No complaints so far.

Working from home (like many people) moved my computer to a room where I had a window but no hardwired internet. This was very easy to set up and use. In 5 minutes I had internet without the wires through my home wifi.

It was a bit tricky to get working at first since it was my first time having to set one up. It's been mostly good. It mainly is supposed to be set up with a disc drive but can be set up without one. Can be used in a 2.0 port but is mainly built for a 3.0 port. Computer recognized it fast. Was a bit expensive but since it was necessary if you don't have immediate access to your router I can't complain too much.

It works great! We recently moved and now have a different set-up and this completes it.

It works well. Plugs into my pc, no need for extra software. I use it to allow my pc to connect to my Apple air pods. Price is very comparable to online stores. No muss no fuss

Faster than my prior wire connection to the router. Would buy again. Device fits tight in usb connector. Make sure it’s oriented correctly and push in with carefully, but with a bit of force.
