So easy to set up, my 16 year old did it by herself. Seemed to work well enough, not sure if problems came from the product or internet - my guess is Internet because we had less connectivity problems after installing using the extender.

Once I got this unit up and running, it does work in extending my wi-fi range to the hard-to-reach areas of the house. However, the setup is not quite as straightforward as the instructions said. My internet provider is Spectrum. The instructions said to press the WPS button on the extender and then press the WPS button on the router. I tried that multiple times, to no avail. I contacted Spectrum tech support, and they could not help.
The instructions say that if WPS doesn't work, use your browser to go to an IP address. In three different browsers, I tried going to the IP address only to get an error saying it could not be found. So I contacted Netgear support. Their agent explained that I must first connect to the Netgear wifi network instead of my home wifi network before going to the IP address. Why didn't the written instructions include this crucial bit of information? It would have saved a lot of frustration and time online with two different tech supports. Once I connected to the Netgear wifi network, everything went smoothly in getting the unit set up.

Got this in an attempt to get wifi signal for outside in my yard for a party I was having, and it worked (3 bars, used to be one or none) but the signal itself kept cutting out during music playback. And inside, where the signal was usually stronger, I kept getting randomly disconnected on TV and laptop. Party came and went, didn’t really need to deal with the connection issues inside so I stopped using. Resetting modem didn’t solve it. Won’t return it because I may need it again when I move.

Having run into WiFi issues deeper into my home and after doing some research about this problem I decided to purchase this WiFi extender (AC750). While reading other reviews of this product I notice some saying how the setup wasn’t easy…so off to YouTube I went and found some videos of people setting up the WiFi extender from out the box…so following the video and the setup instructions that came with the WiFi extender I was able to set it up….long story short I now have WiFi in my use to be trouble spots…the unit is not as big as I thought it would be..while setting it up you need to be in range of your current WiFi…and as you go through the process and connect devices (phone, tablet, laptop) to the WiFi Externders WiFi you could then move to to where you want to plug it into ( which should be somewhere between your current WiFi and the trouble spot..while making sure all 4 display lights are Green. While you’re in the “trouble spot” you would then connect to the WiFi that has the EXT on the end and use that WiFi to be on the WiFi extender’s WiFi not your original WiFi. By the way the WiFi extender WiFi will have your WiFi’s original name plus an _EXT on the end of the WiFi’s name…that’s the one you would connect to when you are in “The trouble spots”. Hopefully this helped you and I would recommend getting this if you have some weak spots in your home.

One of the less expensive Wi-Fi extenders we found at Best Buy but it does the trick. We had spotty, lagging Wi-Fi on our back porch and kept having to go inside to improve signal. We no longer need to do that. This NETGEAR extender has made life a little easier. We no longer need to leave our porch when needing Wi-Fi.

I purchased this WiFi extender to be used to extend the WiFi to my garage and to connect a smart security camera. It has only had a few hiccups when it has been disconnected (due to the length between the garage a router) but other than that smooth sailing!

Instructions seem clear enough but the actual start-up is a bit frustrating. Once connected works well and provides a needed boost in wi-fi connections. Mid range pricing is a plus. The less expensive units of other brands never would establish a connection.

Bought to extend range of the 2.4ghz wifi signal for external cameras. Set up was fairly straight forward, however the documentation did not cover how to rename the wifi on the device via the Netgear online application. A quick websearch provided the answer, but it would be better if the included documentation was complete.

I followed the initial instructions; then did NOT do "Connect with WPS", but from my phone did the second option "Connect With the NETGEAR Installation Assistant" as described in instructions: 1) in phone WiFi connect to network NETGEAR_EXT 2) once connected, access www.mywifiext.net 3) go through the steps, have it find your 2.4G and 5G networks, it will name the extended networks with default '-Ext', but use your network names instead.
I tested 6 rooms from N to S in our house before and after the install. Before install we had weaker 2.4G and no or little 5.0G reception in rooms 4-6, so 0 Mbps on the 5G network in those rooms; so we had to use the slower 2.4G network as the 5G would drop out in rooms 3-6.
After install:
1) Signal strength was fully improved in all rooms on both 2.4G and 5G networks.
2) Download speed stayed about the same on the 2.4G network.
3) Download speed on 5G network was good in all 6 rooms.
Summary - installing this allows us to use the faster 5G network in all rooms.

So far, so good. I've had a lot of different extenders which have given us a lot of trouble. So far this one has been working flawlessly. No complaints from that side of the house since setting it up. The instructions are inaccurate and as a result this was a pain to set up. If you can't connect to it try: 192.168.1.250 or 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or www.mywifiext.net or www.mywifiext.com or routerlogin.net... Good luck!

got this about a year ago and it works great - we had an wifi extender but it wouldn't go through the brick outer wall - this one does and it goest further than the old one as well - i do like the different light indicators telling me when something isn't working right. a good one to get

WORKs! I was temporary living in an apartment down the hall while they did repairs and my wifi signal was 2/5 bars. i went and got one of these and my speed was way faster. I pay for 200mbps internet and originally was getting 25mbps with a bunch of dropouts., with this thing i got 115 mbps and while i didn't get entire dropouts, there were moments when it would slow down. But all in all a very good device that saved my work for about a month!

Great product i had issues with dead zones at the rear of my house with 2 rooms being affected i have xfinty top internet package and still it had some dead zones.. read online that this little device could correct it so i ordered one and hooked it up which was very easy and it for the time being has fixed my issues now we have 3 tvs 3 playtstions 2 of which are 5's and all of our phones on the same devices wifi with no issues even when we're all on at the same time. I would definitely recommend this device for all wifi boosting needs. Also it adds 2 more seperate wifi's to your existing one giving you options to seperate devices to their own wifi accounts
