Not fast enough

Read some people saying they had to call tech support but I was lucky enough where I didn't have to. However the connection speed is not as fast as advertised. I average 500 download and 500 upload speeds. I was lucky to get 50 download and 75 up loadload speeds on 5ghz. This is where the wi-fi extender is only 10 ft away from the router. Tested on my computer and phone and no where close to what they say the speeds should be.
