I purchased this for my daughter's room, so that she would get a better internet signal. It works as advertised.

Seems to have helped wifi for our cell phones, but not our smart tv- sadly, it my be the tv!

A family member is in a nursing home, and can’t get out of bed. Her room is the farthest room from the WiFi source, & she’s unable even to get out into the hall where the reception would be better. This really works, to extend the signal into her room so she can use her devices. Someone recommended this product & installed it for us after I purchased it.

It works and it was actually easy to set up. I didn't have to mess around with it at all, I followed the instructions and it worked the first time. Perfevt for our needs.

This is the best thing I found to put outside so when we are outside I get a good signal from my router. I had over about 10 people and everyone used the signal without any problems. Great buy

It was a bit tricky and i had to "figure out" some things during the setup, but it works well.

The device works. Easy to set up and easy to install. Hasn’t stopped working in three weeks and has expanded the range as needed over the five rooms.

Effective extender for the price, would buy again.

The reason this is getting three stars instead of 1 is because right now it is currently working. That said, it frequently loses connection which causes me to have to set it up all over again and you literally have to be chronically online to even know how to set it up if your WiFi router doesn’t have a WPS button. I had to find the online manual online and follow a completely different set of instructions that wasn’t even included with the actual device. And every time it disconnects it tries to make me set up a new network on my computer so now I have, no joke, ten WiFi networks that are all almost identical because you can’t use the same name otherwise you won’t be able to tell the old one from the new one you just created. Aside from this being utterly inconvenient, it’s probably confusing to my neighbors as well. I don’t know how people who don’t have a basic understanding of computer technology and the internet would ever be able to set up a product like this. I feel bad for them. But hey I’d do the whole thing all over again if it means I can watch Law & Order in my room without Netflix freezing.

It is very easy to set up the extender. I was able to connect in a few minutes. Note that it does create two new WiFi networks named 2G_EXT and 5G_EXT which I actually appreciate as some of my devices only use 2.4 GHz WiFi so I can quickly connect to them using 2G_EXT.

I bought this somewhere elsewhere beforehand and the wireless and wired options dont work for jack,the app doesnt even work with this ..the portal glitches because of a few bugs in its code,Dont buy this product in 2025,if you really want a wifi extender go for something that is similar to what schools use on their ceilings,ORRR just SPEND THE MONEY TO GET ETHERNET CABLES HOOKED UP INSTEAD!!.And no its not best buy's fault so dont go blaming the employees..its NETGEAR'S companies fault if anything,BLAME NETGEAR

Works well so far. I have no complaints at the moment. Easy to set up.

It reaches outdoor cameras. Outdoor projectors, Echo, and phones. The price is great for the budget. No more dropped signals. Happy buyer!

Really happy with this NetGear WiFi ext. it does exactly what I need. We were always having problems with getting WiFi connection downstairs and in the garage. This fixed the problem.

Excellent wifi extender that connects consistently and works really well.

Just what I needed. Move to a new location and the TV and Xbox Series X were in a corner upstairs where the signal would drop to a single bar. Full bars now and pretty easy to setup.
