Solid DSL Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Netgear DSL modem instead of buying a new modem from my ISP when the old one started to act up. Saved a few bucks and this one seems to work much better. Once I popped in the setup CD and followed the instructions I was connected. Took about 20 min, this included the time it contacts your ISP server to get recognized and activated. Make sure you have your username and password that was used when you originally signed up with your ISP to ensure a fast setup.

Low Cost But Simple To Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just needed a simple modem for my ADSL line. So many modems today are combos with wireless routers. It was refreshing to find this Netgear as a stand alone. Installation was extremely simple, plugged it in, spun up the software and bang it was up and running. It has not missed a packet since start up. I posistioned it near the incomming telco line to the house then distribute Cat5 to a few locations that include one to a centrally located wireless router. Though it is out of site visually, I check it on occation and find that it is running without heat build up (unlike it's predisessor). In total, you can't miss with this modem!

Great reliable DSL modem!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used this modem to replace my CenturyLink DSL modem/router that was frequently disconnecting the wireless service. Problem solved! This modem has been reliable, was easy to set up and works well with my 802.11 AC wireless router!

Great product at a decent price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router to replace the one from Centurylink. My internet was slow and would just shut off all of the time. Netflix would buffer constantly. Someone mentioned that they replaced their equipment and their issues were resolved. I bought this modem along with a Netgear router and my internet is sooooo much better. It hasn't shut off since and now I stream at the same time as my kids with no buffering. I don't have a single regret so far.

Has been solid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Old DSL purchased through Windstream was good, but new one from them was WAY more expensive than this one. Have had no issues at all with it.

I bought this about a year ago Aug 2015
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are still being sold as being compatible with ISP-broadband through Century Link. About month ago my ISP stop working, and bought another modem thinking modem went bad. This modem is no longer compatible Century Link broadband. From: CenturyLink ([email protected]) You moved this message to its current location. Sent: Tue 9/06/16 8:18 PM Lenny L.: Thank you for waiting, seems like the modem you have is no longer compatible with our service.

Good Price and Speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was the starting point of my network on a DSL Hook-up after telling Cable adios. Speed is important but not at the cost of the shirt off my back. This particular model is not directly supported by AT&T but they were helpful with a few questions on startup. Like I said this is the entry to my network and the advise from the Geek squad made my mind up. Together with the Airport Express Router the system Smokes when only 2 or three things are on at once...Goodbye $90 a Month Cable Hello $20 Month DSL.

Great modem for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went to get a modem due to the one I had received from AT&T a while back started cutting in and out. It would Drop service we would would have to restart or unplug the unit then plug it back in. I know it was old but I wanted a new that was fairly inexpensive as well a little better. With this new modem it was easy to set up and work great. No more dropped connections. I have it linked with my net gear router for my whole house. Everyone at our house uses either lab tops, tablets or their phones. We do not have a standard cpu in the whole house so we use the wireless connection 100% of the time. Great for the money

Fast DSL Modem Compatible with AT&T
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My original DSL modem supplied by AT&T stopped working. There are very few available DSL modems on the market, but it is certainly more cost effective to buy your own than rent one from AT&T in the long run. It was available online only and not in store. However, I opted to pick it up in store rather than ship to home. It was a reasonable price - not the cheapest, not the most expensive. It is also a good form factor, and fit well in the space I had. The set up of the unit was clunky. The documentation between the service provider (AT&T) and Netgear is not aligned, so it took probably an hour to get connected. I didn't have to contact tech support at either company, and was able to resolve it myself, but I am a very technical person. I don't think the "average user" would be able to do it themselves. However, once connected, the DSL modem is fast and very reliable (so far) with no drops in connection.

Great modem that meets my needs.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After recently switching television & internet providers, I decided to buy my own modem rather than pay the monthly rental fees I've paid for years. I do not need an expensive modem, but didn't want the cheapest either. I did my research and read reviews on line and was impressed with everything about this modem. It is for personal use, the price fit right into my budget, everything is working great! Netgear talked me through everything I needed help with on installation.

Great replacement for dial up.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product took me from the world of dial up Internet to high speed. It is very easy to use. However, where I live the signal is not that strong and there are times I will not be able to get on the Internet or I get disconnected. It gets a little frustrating.
