Never was able to install it

Doesn't come with any physical software and you are forced to download an APP on your phone. Unfortunately I do not have cell service at my home so I was not able to do anything with this item. I understand that companies need to save money but not including an inexpensive CD with the installation software is probably not the place to try and save.

Drops internet connection

HOWEVER, 3 hours after I installed it the internet dropped. My modem was functioning correctly but the router lost the connection. Power cycled multiple times to no avail. After 2 hours with customer service and three HARD resets it was fixed. Worked GREAT. For 3 days. Internet connection dropped again. Modem still working fine so I plugged in my old router and I can connect through that. I think it has something to do with the Smart Connect feature as others on the Netgear forum complained about that. I’m not going to go through this again so I’m returning it and buying a different brand. Never had issues like this with other Netgear products.

Good little router.

No more loss of signal, noticeably faster response time and keeps more devices connected. May not be top-of-the line, but for a smaller family living in a small or mid-sized home, definitely recommened!
