    So far I'm impressed

Spectrum upgraded our cable speeds in our neighborhood. My old modem (their rental) had been running like a champ but after five years it was time to upgrade. My Cisco router was ancient too, 50mbps max, so talked with the sales tech who wanted me to spend almost $100 more to get a separate router and modem. It made sense, if one dies, then you don't have to replace both. But then as I was walking out, it was only $20 for an insurance plan on this (which was MUCH) faster speeds then the old modem he was trying to sell me on. Enough chatter, this thing is FAST. Had it a few weeks now, no issues so far. It's built for dual band wi fi, so if you have kids that hog bandwidth you can fix that problem fast. Spend the extra $20 and get the insurance for two years. If anything happens you just drive 10 minutes and get a brand new one, or an even better model.

I purchased this product after being persuaded by the Best Buy Salesman to spend an extra $100 for newer technology and faster speeds. The rental from Comcast was giving us very slow download speeds on WiFi, 4 to 10 MPBS. I was very happy when I hooked up our laptop and the download test showed 29 MBPS on WiFi. Streaming Netflix through our Roku was also significantly faster and of better quality. This happiness was short ivied. I connected two Samsung Galaxy S6 phones and both took forever (30 to 60 seconds) to load web pages. Both devices are very fast when connected to other WiFi networks and worked fine prior to changing routers. I did contact customer service and spent over an hour changing settings on the router. In the end, nothing worked and they advised me to exchange the product. I do not have the time to spend hours configuring router settings multiple times. I will be returning this product and going back to the slower download speed from the Comcast rental that actually works with our phones.

Xfinity was giving me grief for having old cable/internet technology, so I was in dire need of a new modem and router. I went to my go-to store for everything tech related. I love Best Buy. The salesman listened to what I was looking for (I did research before coming to the store) and he knew exactly what I needed. He showed me a couple of options in different price ranges and helped me decide on this Netgear AC1750. I have used Netgear before and have had no issues so I decided to stick with a name I knew. I got it home, followed the installation guide and was up and running in about 15 minutes. I have had no issues or troubles with my cable or internet since. I know *just enough* about technology to get by and the idea of having to set up a new modem/router system slightly intimidated me but it was REALLY easy. I would highly recommend this product and, as always, FIVE STARS to Best Buy.

I'm using this cable modem router with Time Warner / Spectrum I have 300mps best speed they offer. Router was working fine for first month but I just had to send back to Netgear after several trouble shooting calls to them. The DS light kept blinking in the last week kept getting critical errors in event log. I'm hoping for better results with the replacement router they are sending me. Which by the way I had to pay for postage to send the router back to them even though it's a bad router so I was not pleased with that. Overall I was pleased with output from wifi signal no lag when having 4-5 devices connected including 2 PS4 s one wired and hardwired. Pleased with netgear genie app that gives you complete control of the router so you really don't have to log into router via PC or laptop. Anyway I'm staying positive hopefully replacement router works with no glitches.

Bought 2 but 1 is having 2.4Ghz wifi problem.

I have identical c6300 installed at 2 homes (not next door) with exactly the same setup and configuration. Both c6300 have same type and firmware level Dlink cameras connected using wifi. Wifi setting is 2.4Ghz, broadcast, auto channel selection, speed up to 450Mbps, wpa and wpa2 security selected. One c6300 connects with no problem what-so-ever. The other device tries to connect to 2.4Ghz wifi but will drop. I checked and confirmed as well as change passphrase. Devices that cannot connect include ipad 3&4, kindle hdx, win10 laptop with dual band n. Only device that can connect at both site, on the 2.4Ghz, is a LG LGMS323 android phone. Comcast at both site. At this time problem persist. I can't even get thru to Netgear for some help. They keep pointing me to FAQ. If anyone has similar issue please reply. Let me know if I can provide you with additional details. Thanks

This router has the habit of rebooting itself several times a day, and usually in the middle of something important. When it reboots, it takes at least 10 minutes to start up again. An occasional reboot or problem I can understand, but several times a day? When it does finally connect, it doesn't automatically reconnect to all of the devices, I need to reboot all of the peripherals connected to it, even if they are connected directly to one of the Ethernet ports. The worst part is, it usually reboots when someone is trying to print or scan something for school or work. Do yourself a favor, if you have to choose between this and the really bad routers supplied by the cable companies, go with the one from the cable company.

I recently subscribed to a cable company [as opposed to satellite] for my high-speed internet. I upgraded to the NETGEAR AC1750 C6300-100NAS dual-band router vs the company's router which carries a monthly fee. I am REALLY happy that I did! My speeds increased from an average download speed of 45-55 Mbps to an average speed of 175-180 Mbps. Installation and set-up were simple. This is overly sufficient for our needs, but it is nice to know that if I wish to upgrade my internet service to ultra high speed, the Netgear will be right there with me. The unit is in a front bedroom and we have units of one kind or another [IPad, computer, IPhone, android that we use seamlessly at 5G anywhere in our 2,150 sq. ft. house. After two months, I can think of not one downside to the Netgear.

This seemed to be a very decent modem/router. However, I was having some unique problems with my AV System and had to have a technician from the Cable Company come out as it seemed the problem was with their equipment. After trouble shooting everything, and essentially replacing all their equipment and rewiring all the cable connections inside and outside the home and eliminating every other issue, it came down to this modem/router being the issue. I went back to leasing from the cable company, as if I have any problem I can take it in and swap it out for the newest modem/router if I don't want to wait for a tech to come to the house and do it for me. While it worked, it worked great. Why it failed (just one aspect of it) I don't know. And it may have been a fluke. But with a home based business, I just can't risk having no broadband service for a few days.

So far, so good. I needed a cable router / modem for the first time as I've only had DSL previously. After researching and asking for advice from an associate, I chose the NETGEAR - AC1750 Dual-Band Wireless-AC Router with DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and have not been disappointed. Initial installation was iffy due to a builder cabling issue. The cable installer created a temporary workaround whereby the unit had to be installed in the garage. The signal had to travel through a firewall, three other walls, appliances, and who knows what else. Even with this workaround the signal was lightning speed with no known drops or slowdowns. Of course, it worked even better after the cabling issue was resolved and the unit was moved indoors. Even in it's current location upstairs in a relatively large home, the signal is excellent allowing unbelievable streaming quality. No complaints to date and would definitely recommend.

I just signed up with Comcast for high speed internet after dropping Frontier. Reason being, I couldn't get any speeds above 16mbs with Frontier which is unsatisfactory for what I do. I didn't want to rent the modem from Comcast so I decided to buy one instead. So far this modem is just awesome. Easy to hook up and I just did the activation online via the Comcast website and I was up and running in no time. The download speeds are fantastic and this modem does work with magic jack. Downloading updates for my daughter's Xbox 1 now takes minutes and not hours and that's via Wifi. I personally can't say enough about this modem. The 4 Ethernet ports are a big plus since I use 3 of them. One to connect my wife's pc, one for my mac and one for the magic jack. The Wifi speeds and excellent also and connecting all the devices are quick and easy. Now I can see why Netgear is rated so well. So glad I purchased this modem...

I was recommended this Dual-band when a friend was checking out my station. I looked at the reviews and they speak for themselves. Yeah, it may be a little pricey but it’s worth every cent. You don’t need a separate router or modem, because this is it, you have it all in one (Hencing the word “Dual-Band”). The strength, speed, and style of Netgear’s C6300 is unbelievable. I highly recommend this to anyone. I use 100/Mbps and this Wifi-Cable-Modem-Router makes the speed even more incredible and reliable for me. It’s also known as the Netgear AC1750. YOU NEED THIS! Especially gamers, it’s so stylish and it will not fail you.

This box is a beast! Over 2016 Christmas/New Year we had our in-laws visiting. There was total of 16 wireless and 2 wired devices connected to this router - some were on the 2.4GHz and some on the 5GHz wireless band. We streamed movies from iPad to Apple TV, moved yuge files between devices, streamed Netflix, did Skype, and tons of other things. This router handled everything flawlessly. In fact, I think our Comcast cable Internet was more stressed than this box. This router is so stable that I did not have to reboot it even once since it was installed in December 2016 - that's 9 months of solid reliability! We are getting consistent 120 Megabits per second performance and since this unit was configured it required literally zero attention. Highly recommended. *Remember to update the firmware when you install this router, and check for firmware updates every few months.

I stream tv in my home. I had older, basic separate modem and router that were dropping the wifi and slowing down the streaming constantly. They needed replacement. I chose this product because I didn't know which one was causing the problem - the old modem or the old router or both - so I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone, with the combined modem/wifi router. I have not been disappointed. Installation was fairly simple, though you have the extra step of registering the modem with your cable company - and I have not had any more streaming problems since. To give you an idea of the capacity of the router, I have about 5 Roku streamers, 5 cellphones, 2 laptops, 2 wireless desktops, 2 chromebooks, 2 game systems, and an internet radio system, at least a few of which are competing for wifi at any one time, and the wifi has not hiccupped yet. I would definitely recommend this product.

It is great!!! Easy setup, easy configuration, and a bunch of additional controls/options!! You can add a Network storage via flash drive. Which it can be accessed through the network OR via remote access online! Very nice option.all the info you need to set it up is on a little pull tab on the unit. All the setup options are accessible through the online interface. Great product and excellent range. Ohh and if there is interference you can change broadcast channels to enhance reception/ signal strength. I nolonger need a range extender to reach from my basement to my 2nd floor!! My entire house is covered. Also all my products that use the WiFi have excellent speed even while using multiple products at the same time!!!! Great product!!! Great buy!!! Top of the line & even better that it is an all in one product!! Cable modem & Router in one unit! Also compatible with the high speed internet offered by Xfinity & other providers!!

set unit up with ease until, Voip needs port forwarding, usually not an issue, followed the instructions, with no luck, used online tec support very poor online support, almost 2 hr later with no luck, so i decided to deal with the issue another day. 3 days after the first set up, the internet became very spotty, and finally quit altogether on day 4, after 2 more hours with tec support, we found the modem portion worked as it should, and the wifi worked as it should, but they did not work together bad connection in unit, best buy was very accommodating, net gear was not, i returned the unit and purchased Motorola - SURFboard eXtreme 802.11ac DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and 4-Port Gigabit Ethernet Router, with no issues,

Got suckered into a 2 year contract with Comcast that came with their Blast internet (120MBS). I was told by Comcast that my 3 year old modem/router could not handle "the new speed" and that it wasn't Docsis 3 compatible so I needed to go buy an upgraded model or consider renting one of theirs. It made more sense to me financially to buy one so I took a ride over to my local Best Buy. Long story short, for what I spent on this product, I expected lightning in a box. What I ended up with was a flash in a pan. My internet seems no faster than it was before (not that I needed it to be) and my service has been intermittent at best. Not sure if this is the product or the ISP but I feel very unhappy with my decision to "upgrade". I have a service call tomorrow with a Comcast field rep so I guess I'll know more then. I will have a follow up to this review post appointment. For now, I'm quite unahppy !!

Originally bought a Surfboard when I upped my internet speed to 300 Mbps, but had many, many problems with two different Surfboards. Exchanged for this router, and it has performed beyond my expectations. I am able to get wireless speeds over 300 Mbps from this router, even while running four hard-wired and six wireless connections simultaneously; no real loss of speed over wifi. The user/admin interface is a little confusing at first (I guess because I'm used to Surfboard) but once you get used to it you can navigate it fairly easily. Many ways to configure the router, and I especially like the way it will show you attempts to connect by users that are not on the "allowed" list, and lets you change them to "allowed" on the fly. Needless to say, I think I've become a Netgear fan after using this router.

    Horrible Device on TWC

I bought this all in one because I trust netgear to provide great equipment. The problem comes down since this is an all in one, I have no control over the firmware version installed, and it seems that the version TWC requires has serious issues with WiFi. My WiFi would, randomly, drop completely, with no way to connect short of restarting the device. Under properties, you would see both 2.4 and 5 channels being set to 0, with no way to change (even though they are set to use actual, functioning channels). I worked with Netgear and even tried a second device (in case the first was bad), but once it was decided the firmware was the issue, they upgraded me, free of charges, to the next model. That one works great, and I still really like netgear, but if you use TWC or any other companies that require the same firmware, do NOT get this for WiFi capabilities. It will drive you bonkers.

I bought this and after 5 mths it had issues with one of the lights turning yellow. After I spoke with the tech group they said my warranty was expired and I would have to pay $89. holly you know what. The thing cost $156. Why would I pay over half the price for them to "fix" it? I took a hammer to it and went and bought an Arris which is working fine. I will never buy a net gear product if I can help. So that is my review. I'm sure you won't post this but at least I can let off some steam.

For some reason this does not allow a few of my devices to connect without waiting a very long time. YouTube, Netflix, Pandora and other sites have an awful time connecting. On these devices I need to go to mobile data to connect then switch to wifi once launched or just start the connection and wait a good 30 or more seconds before an icon shows up , for example on youtube one or two thumbnails show up and maybe 20 seconds later the next one shows up or not at all. same with the app store. Netgear could not resolve issue. The problem is with my Samsung note 5, Kindle HD 8, and Vizio TV. These are 3 entirely different devices. No one can resolve this so if you have these devices you may want to look elsewhere. For the devices I have that work it is terrific except I need to reboot atleast once a week or the connection gets pretty slow.
