The wired performance were good but the drop outs were becoming irritating. it resets or drops out every 5-6 minutes. The wifi would drop out for no reason.

It was a great router for about a week. Then I started having drop outs on the 2.4 wifi. The 5.0 & the wired performance were really good but the drop outs were becoming irritating

The reason I am giving it a 3 out of 5 is due to constant WiFi drop out/disconnect issues on a constant basis. I had to do some research and figure out which channels to use to decrease interference, setup which devices I wanted on the 5G vs 2.5G. Called my ISP to request firmware update, called NETGEAR for assistance and were told conflicting information. Basically, it you're not a tech savvy person, it can be very frustrating to get it working.

it drops out every 5-6 minutes . Gaming on phones or tablets is difficult. Very disappointing hardware . Very poor costumer service and technical support. I'm going to replace it with a different brand.

Easy setup, and has all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern modem/router. The wireless channel map is an excellent addition. Ethernet is good, and the AC band is sweet, but the N-band has given me nothing but difficulties; it resets or drops out every 5-6 minutes. Gaming on phones or tablets is difficult at best; and streaming anything is out of the question. Very disappointing hardware coming from a company as solid as Netgear. I'm probably going to replace it with a different brand in January.

I purchased this as a replacement to my ~3 year old router. I was going to go with a separate modem and wireless router, but decided to go with a combo unit to save money. But the wifi on this drops out regularly. I've to consistently reconnect to the wifi across my wireless devices. Google searches reveal people having this issue for 2-3 years, with no way to fix it that I've found. It came with up to date firmware and still has the issue. Unfortunately I'm outside the 15 day return period for Best Buy so I'm stuck with this faulty product.

I was excited to purchase this as an upgrade to my older, slower router. I read the reviews, researched some other products, and decided I wanted this guy with my Time Warner/Spectrum service. It worked great, for about 2 months. Suddenly, the wifi would drop out for no reason. I had my Xbox hardwired into it, and never lost connection, so it wasn't the service that was the issue. I had to reset the router at least 5 times a day before I finally ditched it. As soon as it reset, I had wifi again, so I really think it was the router and not the service provider. I'm really disappointed with this product.
