worked as advertised. although modem programmed to 850 mps, limitations of my software and hardware did not aloow for me to experience speeds approaching maximum speed accepted by modem

This router works perfectly fine, except the set up process was a hassle since the instruction/set-up manual's instructions were not working. ThenI called the developer's customer support to fix the problem and they were extremely rude and angry with me about their hardware and softwaren't working properly. I'm aware that these two issues aren't Best Buy's fault since it was clearly the manufacture's fault given how they seemed to be familiar with the routers not work like they should upon installation. If I didn't experience the rude developer caller I would've given this device at least 4 stars.

it drops out every 5-6 minutes . Gaming on phones or tablets is difficult. Very disappointing hardware . Very poor costumer service and technical support. I'm going to replace it with a different brand.

Was pigeon-holed into this particular modem/router based on the specific needs of Time Warner Cable and a limited time table. This product is average at best, with the Wi-Fi being it's greatest weakness. Modem and router perform as expected for hardware at this price point, and frankly, it's hard to screw that up with today's tech. Biggest gripe is the Wi-Fi, as it has weak in building penetration at best, and reliability is close to nothing. Requires restart regularly to maintain service, despite firmware update and standard maintenance. If you're using it to route to a Linksys radio, go ahead...but if you're looking for whole house wireless from this thing, move along and spend a buck.

I'm hardly a tech person and I rarely give reviews. Our Comcast unit was installed at one end of our large one story home. Bad idea when it comes to wireless. I'm a baby boomer and sometimes find it hard to pour out hard earned money on tech hardware. A very helpful young man at my local Best Buy suggested I try this Netgear piece. Installation was complete before I knew it. I've found it to be an excellent choice and I'm very happy with this product.
