I purchased this router to replace a belkin unit that I had for less than a year and it began giving me connection issues. It was a little pricey but its worth it. Fast speeds on the 5g connection thru my wireless devices and so far no wired connection issues at all. can put my USB drive on this unit and play all on my smart tv. Over all it has been a great experience with this router. I have had numerous Belkin and Netger routers thru my time with computers and I think Netgear has a better product.

So far so good. I am not tech savy so I couldnot tell you if it's great or not. I am backing up a ln external hard drive through it to my personal cloud devise and it's transferin 800 kb/second.

Only one caveat. MAKE SURE you get v2. Version 1 had bad RAM, I've been told. I spent several hours, including two on the phone with Netgear tech support, who ultimately told me to return the product. Afterward I heard about the bad RAM. I returned it, found the v2 IN ANOTHER STORE, hooked it up and it self-install in a matter of minutes. The range is further and stronger. Also, of special note. I replaced the WNR 2000v2 but found out I could connect the two for even greater distance and strength!!

This router is overall a solid combination of future proofing yourself for years to come and dedicated speed performance now. The AC technology referred to by the router is not yet widely supported so many of your current devices WILL WORK with the router, however they won't be taking advantage of the next generation of wifi the router produces. Soon enough though more devices will become fully supported and that's when the big bucks for this guy will end up paying off!

I purchased the unit to send data to my smart TV which is at the other end of my large house. I was paying extra to my internet provider to have 20mbps upload rate, but was not getting it from the old router. Purchased Netgear router, and problem solved. Streams youtube without lagging on the smart TV. Range is awesome, I can pick up the signal on the end of our dock, which is pretty far away.

We have a bunch of wireless devices in out home and our routers could not handle them all. This router has alleviated much frustration in our home by allowing everybody to log in at the same time.

This router provides all the streaming power a person would ever want. The are usually 10 to 12 devices stream at a time and I've never experienced any data transfer issue. Great buy for the cost.

This router was easy to install. I have a 1600 sq.ft open concept home. I put in on my second floor. We use it with 2 phones, 3 tablets, 2 gaming systems, 2 laptops, wireless blu-ray, countless neighbor kids' w/their phones/iPods and 1 PC running at various times through-out the day. Everything is running seamlessly now. All the videos and gaming are uniterrupted. No bufferring. And now I can work w/o being booted off the internet. :) Plus!!

I had 2 original netgear r6300s and decided to sell them for an asus rtac66u. But the asus refused to work in bridge mode or with any bridges. I have had zero trouble with the r6300v2s except for having to reboot them every now and again. Much easier setup than the asus plus you can label your ip addresses. Also easier to use Mac filtering. Range and throuhgput are about the same. We cut the cord so we stream everything so they get a good workout yet are up to the challenge

This router is much better than the old one. There is an issue with the aignal in the kitchen though. I live in a two beds apt so i would've expected it to provide full coverage

This router, well, lets say, wasn't the cheapest, but in my 3200 square foot house, it easily covers the entire residence. Great product except for the fact it is not made to go into an enclosure. I had to mount mine on the door due to the wires coming out of the back and the weird, non removable stand. I would recommend this in a heartbeat! (And this is coming from a linksys guy)

This was bought to get better range. I found that it was better but not what I was expecting for the price. That being said, probably does not get too much better for the home and getting better would be quite expensive. Getting a slightly cheaper version will likely get you similar range and speed.

The router works well. It still doesn't have hardly enough strength to go from my bedroom to the living room about 50 feet away with only one partial wall standing in the way.
