I have 2 of these and they both have a large Wi Fi range and fast speed. One required a little more effort with satellite internet, but I worked it out. The other worked seamlessly with cable internet. I bought the second one because my Android phone wouldn't connect to my cable modem after a phone update. My only complaint is the intensity of the Netgear light on the front. Everything nowadays has a similarly powerful light. Combined you can read by these electronics.

This is an excellent router. The user interface is very easy to understand for someone who has a minimum knowledge about setting up a router. The performance is great. The wireless connection is available anywhere in my home. I had a strong signal 150 ft. away from the router. My internet browsing seems a bit faster compared to my previous router which was a fairly new model ASUS. The "guest" feature is great for privacy. You can use this to allow guests (or certain devices such as smart TV's, Roku, etc.) to have access to the internet through the router but these guest users do not have access to your local area network such as your computers or NAS devices. Also, if you connect an external hard drive to one of the USB ports on the router, all users can access it as shared storage. When you connect an external HDD, it shows up as a network share named "READYSHARE". Finally, about a year ago I had a bad experience with a Netgear router and I was hesitant to give this one a try. I am glad I did and my faith is restored in Netgear. I highly recommend this router.

Upgraded from an N Router to an 802.11ac, The R6300 is able to provide higher speed going forward while it still works with systems that are set up for N or lower. It does direct beaming to your devices rather than a Omni directional signal. I did get the R6200 Adapter so that I could upgrade my computer to take advantage of the 802.11ac router. I definitely saw the improvement when viewing news and sports clips. I do not have any regrets about this investment.

We have ATT U-Verse as our service provider and it works really good within about twenty feet of where the router is but not in all the other rooms in our house. So we tried a signal booster it helped a little but the signal was still weak so we went with this router & it works extremely well through walls and ceilings if you have a large home I would definitely recommend this router. The sales people at the local Best Buy are very helpful and knowledgeable.

Given that my wired home network is very functional and that I only need occasional wireless, I was looking for something that I could use as a Wireless Access Point. Online forums were contradictory and not intuitive. In the end I called a help desk which to my surprise worked very well. The steps were not terribly difficult but they were not in the manual and should have been. I'll use it as a router later but for now it is a fast WAP.

I would recommend the product for small offices and home owners alike. Have had no issues with it other than I control a lot of what happens on our networks and have had to use opendns to do so. Would like to see the next versions come with more control from the router control point instead. Still, all in all, one of the best and fastest routers I have used to date.

I ran this router for a few years until i upgraded to a 3200 to handle all the extra wifi traffic in the house. I'm now using for a network extender.

This router works as advertised. I live in an apartment building and was getting poor signal quality on the other side of the apartment. I installed this router and strong performance everywhere. It has a 5 ghz channel which is good for apartment buildings where there are so many 2.4 ghz routers, plus it is an AC router and is future proof for now. I can't wait to get some AC devices in the future so I can take further advantage of this router.

This product was very easy to install and has provided great speed for multiple devices within a small home.

When I tried to set the router up, I couldn't get it to communicate with the cable box. Spent some phone time with the cable company until they gave up and said to call Netgear. I should have done that first. Within 3 minutes, the Netgear tech had it working perfectly and we've had no problems with it since. The signal is good throughout both floors of our house. We use multiple computers, tablets, and phones. Everything works well with the router signal.

Ease of setup, speed, really improved access to my service provider which was erratic with old router.

Easy and reliable. Airport extreme does not recognize it. Other than that a very good buy, and fast!

We have been having trouble streaming videos and internet with our previous router, which was supposed to be fast enough. This router is now, super easy to install too with an iPhone app available too. I would definitely recommend this router if you have lots of streaming to do in your home.

It's reliable and was easy to set up. It was basically plug and play. NO glitches and is super fast.

does exactly what I need it to do, and that's connect to everything my family has, which is multiple phones, computers, tablets, gaming system, our tv. and everything runs flawless, make sure you have good internet though, it can only push out as much as the internet provider gives you.

Worth the price. I tried the cheaper Linksys and the speed and range were both significantly worse.

Purchased as a replacement for another Netgear router that was destroyed in a storm. I had an extender with the other router, but with this new one its almost not needed (Almost). Much better range than the previous, and the Netgear Genie software that comes with it is a definite plus, simple to control access/security/network. Great replacement.

This router is absolutely fantastic! Super fast and easy to install. What more can you ask?

Great product for when you have a larger home with multiple items that need to be hooked up to WiFi. We have 4 smart phones, 2 smart TVs, one computer, one tablet, one laptop and Direct TV all hooked up to it at once and they all work fast!
