I had to get a router due to my cable supplied wireless router wasn't strong enough. I am very happy with this product.

Previously owning a bottom of the barrel router, this is a big improvement. You have the ability to use 5ghz or 2.4ghz.

We had a D-Link Xtreme Gigabit Router for years - worked great. It finally went bad so we had to get a new one. Dual channel, wireless ac - all new to us - times are a changing. Somehow we decided on the Netgear R6300 Dual Band Gigabit WiFi Router. That's right, one of the most expensive - that's what happens when you do not know what you really need. However, we do not regret it, even though we could have gotten by with a WiFi router with much less features - like a single band. The R6300 is a keeper. We actually use the dual bands, once we figured out what "dual bands" means. Wireless ac - we do not use it - not yet anyway. Even though Netgear says don't do it, we did change the SSIDs (there are 2 of them, dual band and all) so that we do not broadcast what kind of router we have, besides we came up with a much cooler name than Netgear. Changing the SSIDs and setting up this router was very easy, even for us.

This router is not too bad for just a few devices and has a medium range

I was tired of my router not reaching parts of my house so I got this higher end Netgear router. Works great from one corner of the house to the other, even upstairs with the kid's computer. Good bandwidth for all of the tablets and smart phones in the house as well.

Wow! We never knew how wonderful it would be to have Wi Fi!!! My husband set this up in no time at all, and we love it!

Easy to set up and works will in an larger size office.

It was very easy to install & get set up & it was an upgrade for me & it is much better than the smaller unit I had.

I selected this from among several of the higher end routers based on style, claimed performance and past experience with this brand. Setup was easy and the performance has bed rock solid. I did expect to get a bit more range from my wireless than it seems to provide, but generally pleased with this router.

This router is definitely worth the money. I would recommend it to anyone.

Purchased a couple of other brand that were soon returned due to connection speed or dropped connections. Upon buying the Netgear new AC router it has been a dream. Wireless connection at 833 Mps and not one dropped connection since purchasing. If you want the new AC standard, go for it with Netgear. I also like the looks of it!

I am very glad that I purchased the NETGEAR 60 for my home. It works great.

install and use was as easy as plug-in, setup and use. Very easy for those of us who are not professional users.

I am a big fan of Netgear. I have owned the WNDR854T and then the WNDR3700v2. Both routers worked perfectly during their lifetime. Having teenagers, I have 4 wireless computers, two wired computers, two Xbox 360's, 2 HD video streaming devices, and 4 smart phones not including the many guests who visit. I wanted to try the latest generation of Netgear router that would cover a 2500 square foot home; the Netgear R6300 was it. Setup was simple, only took a few minutes, and I was up and going. However I noticed that the 2.4 GHz signal was not a strong on the distant machines as my old WNDR3700 N600 was. I was getting 130mps whereas I was at 300ps on all machines before with the WNDR3700. Secondly the 5GHz Range was just about comparable to the older N600. In fairness, I never connected any a/c band adapters so I cannot speak to the newer a/c standard performance at this time and whether the 1350 mps speed was attainable. The problem was that after exactly 11 days of glorious wireless heaven, all network and internet connectivity had ceased (seized). I did not have any power failure. My new N6300 router was continually resetting itself about once per minute, and I let this continue for about 2 hours. I tried the cold reset, complete reset of the cable modem and Motorola Docsis 3.0 modem but to no avail. When I finally enter the administrative feature of the R6300 through the IP address, everything was reset to factory default. The administrative password, username, the default SSID and passwords, everything back to factory settings. So I reconfigured the modem again from the start and the same thing happened, continual restarts, no Internet connection, reset the modem to factory default by itself. The modem had no memory of the parameters I added, and again entered. I have always been pleased with Netgear and perhaps I just got a lemon, and I will be returning this tomorrow and exchanging it for a R6200, or another R6300 the WNDR4500 N900, or just going back to my trusted WNDR3700. I will stay with Netgear until convinced otherwise. It is unfortunate because I love the features advertised, the look of the modem, the speed of access with a ready share, and the genie wizard, although I still don't know why they did not add USB 3.0 for god's sake, especially at that price, but for now I will wait until the a/c standard is more prevalent before upgrading my router. I am looking forward to the new technology.

So far this unit is the one piece of all those I purchased which seems to be performing well and as expected.

This wireless is dual band works great had to use a static ip for my 360 though otherwise perfect

Gives us exactly the power we need for 2 Xbox one consoles and 2 computers and I phones in our household!
