I purchased this product because of the great review it had on tv-shopping network. I didn't buy it from the tv because I hate to wait and god forbid something is wrong with the product. When I got it home setting up the router was fairly easy and didn't run into any issues till I tried to set up my brand new external segate hard-drive to it's USB 3.0 port. This hard-drive connects to every other USB 3.0 device I own (laptops and desktops) but would not be detected buy the routers 3.0 port but did on the 2.0 port. I contacted Netgear tech support and after the long wait I was told that my hard-drive was the problem and that that they have a compatibility list that says that my drive will only work on their router. I told them it works on the 2.0 port but not the 3.0 port and their response was ... oh so it works, ok come again... I was like it doesn't work!... so after 5 hours of repeatedly explaining my problem to about 8 of there tech staffs and threatening to return the product if I didn't get some assistance, they transferred me to an american tech. That tech remoted into my computer and after running a series of test concluded that there was something wrong with the router to return it and try another Netgear one. So I did half of his request. I can't believe it took me 5 hours on the phone to get to someone that actually provided tech support I was sure not going to deal with that again with netgear because even if I exchanged their router for a new one and it worked, if I ran into problems in the future I would have to call again. Oh and FYI the charge for their tech support after I think a year. I bought an ASUS RT-6800 and though it cost me more the product is looks feels and runs better and I am extremely glad that I had to return the netgear or I would have never bought the asus.

This is a good product and great value. It's has a strong signal both upstairs and downstairs. Fairly easy to configure. Only printer connections have given me some trouble, but that's not the fault of the router.

This router was easy to install and the signal is strong throughout our home. However, the signal is weak in our guest house located across the street.

I normally buy the smaller Cisco products but this generation they don't have their product perfected yet according to multiple technical reviews. So this Netgear product is bigger and uglier but it works very well!

I had an older version of the Netgear wireless router that was 3- 4 years old and signal was fading. Bought an updated version. Its set up was easy. Has worked well for 2 months. No problems.

I wanted a drive that I could attach to my home network for storing music and other shared files. This drive was easy plug and play. I cannot comment on the backup software that is included. I do not use it.

We bought this router to replace one that kept dropping devices. We have a larger than average home and needed a strong signal and the option to separate a gaming system from mobile devices and a computer.

Has done wonders on internet speed. it allows us to run computer games Netflix on 2 sets and programs at the same time

This router works fine, but I was told it had sufficient power to access wifi on our deck. It doesn't. So I probably could have gotten same functionality and speed with a cheaper model. But other than that, it is doing the job.

I own a 3 story house.... Now I can surf the web or connect to my internal network anywhere in the house.

I needed to upgrade my router to stream HD to my Samsung Smart TV. The NETGEAR Wireless AC Gigabit Router works great and seems to handle numerous devices and streams clear HD video without any delays.

Bought this to replace n router. I wanted to check out the new ac technology and faster speeds. Works great but won't see the full benefit till I get ac wifi products. Handles many wifi hookups well.

Great way to expand your wireless signal. I have a large home ( one story) and it was always a problem to get a solid signal to the other side of the home. This is no longer a issue with this product.

I purchased this to replace an old router. The setup is easy and the unit provides great signal strength to my entire house. An excellent purchase!

A wonderful piece of equipment works great i have a lap top, 2 desk tops, my grandson has a laptop and a 360 game station no problems out of any of them since installing the new router.

Strong signal sharing throughout our home. 5 smart phones, 2 iPads, 4laptops, wii, ps3, etc. hated to pay the price, but it has made a huge difference! Why have equipment if you can't access the wifi?

I give this router a superb and Excellent rating!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone with a large house or office. It was extremely easy to set up out of the box. Easy, fast and strong.

Easy set up and works well with extender but must move extender around to find optimum position for signal strength for entire desired coverage area with adequate signal for video .

Decent unit for small business or home user. Simple setup for guest network - easy to keep your network separated from a guest network so you do not compromise your local security.
