This router is easy to set up and improved speed dramatically

Got home and hooked up the router to replace the older one. The router fired right up but I had to contact the manufacturer tech support to assist me in getting the router to sync with my modem and extender. That process took about 3 hrs over two days. They were helpful and persistent to make it all work. Since then it has worked perfectly.

Seems to have good range, but is difficult to connect to.

This router is very fast and has a good range. I'm using it with multiple wireless devices (Ipad, Nexus, GS2, BB torch) and a Trendnet TEW680MB wireless bridge that is 30 feet away and separated by one wall. Internet speed at the bridge is excellent. I get full download and upload speed of my Comcast internet connection (30 mbps). No issue so far using it in bridge mode with Comcast. Uptime is also excellent. I haven't had to reboot the router yet, except for a firmware upgrade. Love the Guest SSID feature. I haven't had a chance to try the wireless AC feature yet. 1 less star as my first purchase was DOA (from another retailer). Also the LAN port lights are not working. This is not important for my case but might be for yours (if you connect/disconnect internet cable often).

This is a replacement router for an older NETGEAR router. As with previous NETGEAR routers, it was easy to install and set up. I have experienced no problems with it and it has delivered the added speed and reliability I was hoping for.

Bought for my mom & it was easy to set up! The range in a large house is great as well. I decided to replace my apple AirPort Extreme & I bought one for my house. Kids upstairs now can FaceTime with friends. Fast & great range! I love it!

This router is great for higher speed installations that have several users and comes with good control software. It is overpriced and oversized so don't buy it if you are looking for an easy to hide, low cost alternative.

Just what I wanted! Very easy to set up... Much faster speeds than the router provided by Comcast with much more functionality. I've connected a 4TB ext. hard drive to the usb 3.0 port for backing up data and media storage, and I've a printer connected to the USB 2.0 port. Both have been working great! 4 months in, no complains so far! =)

We researched for hours to find a powerful router to replace our outdated NetGear N600 WNDR 4300 which was causing issues with our Nest thermostat. This router was under-reviewed and over-shadowed by the new slightly more powerful Nighthawk. This router is blazing fast, punches thru all the walls and floors of the house, even on the 5G band. We have only had to reboot once, and it turned out it was Time Warner Cable experiencing the outage, not our router! It is perfect for a large home that has a place for it to stand upright, which we found more convenient than those that need wall mounting or large flat surface.

The Netgear router is excellent. It is very easy to hook up and get working. I live in a large two story home. My old router, I couldn't get service upstairs. With this router, I get it all over the house. It is lightening fast!

Since my purchase of this Router I have had the best experience that I have ever had with Home Networking. This Router is unstoppable. My advice is to have a gigabit capable modem/cable to connect so that there is no lag in your connection from using a standard CAT 5. I will definitely only use Netgear Products in the future.

I have been using this router for last couple months and it totally outperforms my previous Netgear N600 router. Runing at least 12 devices simultaneously plus streaming HD video on TV without any lags or problems. Fast speed, long reach, and great bandwidth.

We bought this dual-band router as we have several Wi-Fi users in this house and needed the extra bandwidth. We were having problems with connectivity with the old router which was six years old. We hoped to see some better speed as well. Well, we don't have as many issues with staying connected but we didn't see an increased mark in speed. The speed issue, however, may be affected more by our internet carrier and whatever is running in the background of our computers. I was also looking for a router that didn't have a large footprint as the old router was more vertical than horizontal and I didn't have a large area to place a router. This one seems to fit well into the space I have available, and it blends well into the room's atmosphere.

fast, easy to install, friendly, powerful, elegant

The overall performance is outstanding. This is the best coverage I have ever had in my 4300 sq ft two story house. I love it. The only draw back is I am not real good with computers. I am a user no the programmer. The installation was not user friendly. not plug and play. It took me 3 hr to get it up and running. If you under stand computers this is the best unit I think. If you are a novice like me you may need some help. This is why I gave it a 4 out of 5.

This router has been servicing my family since the day it was purchased. I have no complaints as of today. It has all the options I needed in a router and the price was great. It also has the ability to support future installations of faster internet access. This was by far the best router I have ever owned.

The multiple "network" channels are terrific in our home, where we have over 1/2 dozen devices connected at a given time. The faster devices, iPads, iPhones, etc. use the 5G network and absolutely fly. Older devices are much faster than ever and the router we replaced was only 3-4 years old. Setup was far easier than other routers i have set up at home or in my business. Well worth the price, don't even think about it.
