ive had this for a few months and its been nothing but problems. Devices are constantly dropping, the signal is weak even when im close to the router. I sent it in for a warranty replacement, hopefully i can update this review.

Net gear R6300 WiFi router is without about is the fastest WiFi router I ever had.

I bought this after returning a netgear wndr3700. The 3700 had issues with its signal to my ps3. Through an open room with one partial wall, and a distance of maybe 20 ft, I was only getting 67% signal strength on the ps3. Totally unacceptable. When playing call of duty, the game would glitch horribly. When I hard wired the ps3, the problem was gone. Hard wiring my ps3 is not an option at my house though, so I decided to take a chance and return the 3700 and buy this router. The signal is now 100% on the ps3 in the same spot as I had the 3700. I get excellent signal anywhere in my house and anywhere just outside of my house. I havent tested its true actual boundaries yet, but Im sure it will be well above average. I live in a 2 story house approx 2500 sq ft. Also call of duty now plays glitch free over a wireless connection. I dont know what else could of been the issue other than the 3700. All games will have an occasional hiccup, but it was way beyond that consistantly with the 3700. All the default settings on this R6300 were left alone other than me changing the network name and password. The NAT type for ps3 shows as open. Something that seemed to be a problem with my old linksys router no matter what I did, so thats a plus. Setup was quick and easy. This thing is a little large, so take that into consideration. I did have an issue with my iphone 3gs connecting initially. I had to reboot the router and my phone several times before I got a reliable connection. I dont know how to explain this but it has been working fine since. My wifes iphone 3gs connected just fine the first try though. The 5 GHz band works perfectly with my samsung tv. I am able to stream netflix and hulu no issues whatsoever. I havent tried streaming HD yet. So far Im happy to have spent the extra money for the extra range this thing has and that it seems to be working good with my ps3 hooked up wireless.
