My aging 3 port VOIP router just wasn't cuting it anymore. I now have my home alarm system, VOIP phone, 4 Satellite TV receivers, 3 tablets, 3 laptops, and other stuff going through it all at once. Per a great recommendation of the service rep at BB (Eric#, I now have the router I need, with a little extra network storage space to boot! Setup was simple. I conducted my own BUT testing #Bandwidtch Utilization Test# and this router got an A+. No need for two routers now, one acting as a Access Point. I'm broadcasting from my basement #enclosed space) to two floors above in a 2900 sq ft home and it's like the router is right next to me! Even in my garage I'm streaming music and video with ease! Great buy!

    Awesome Router

This is an awesome router, easy to set up both the 2.4 and 5ghz bands. Increased my speed substantially over my NetGear WND600. I have a 3300 SQFT two story home. I had zero buffering streaming Netflix on three computers down stairs while surfing the net on a 4th computer at the same time. Router is located up stairs and we primarily use laptops and iPad downstairs. Saw some reviews that had some concerns about guest network. I performed firmware update and have had zero issues. I highly recommend this router.

This router is way ahead of everything else. It's an ease to set up, and the 5G log on is amazing fast! On my pc, iPad and iPod it gave a full strength signal all throughout a 4500 sq ft, two story house. I had it hooked up and running in less than 5 mins, and it worked flawlessly!

If you want the latest and greatest wireless router, with fast wireless LAN speeds, then this is definitely one to consider. My speeds have been great, range is good (better than my previous routers), reliability is great, firmware for router is good and easy to use, firmware has tons of features. No problems at all to date with it. Recommended!

Great range for wireless signal; hasn't dropped the cable modem internet signal after one week (prior router dropped it daily); easy to set up; fast connection.

So I picked this up 2 days ago, I have a large home with 3 ps3, Wii, 2 laptops, desktop, ipad and cell phones. So as you see I need a top of the line router, did my research on this bad boy and it seemed to have great reviews! I tried the asus rt-ac66r and that thing bricked on me after I did the firmware update on it. So I got this one and set up was easy and simple, if you have issues there are a lot of vids on YouTube to help you out. I did some testing on it, I have TW cable internet service, ultimate package, 50up 5 down. I told everyone to get on their toys and get online, My wife was streaming a movie in hd, my kids playing bf3 online and me downloading a few things, I ran a speed test and to my amazement I was getting 48 down and 4 up!!!! Did the speed test about 5 times and was getting the same speeds all the time!!! This router is the best on the market, the range is incredible, and I have a 1900sq foot home. I recommend this to everyone!!!! By the way the version that BB is selling is the R6300v2 which is smaller than the original one that came out last year.

    Solved my connection problems

I was having a lot of problems getting my computers and other devices connecting through wifi at the same time using my other router. Also, could not get the other router firmware updated when I purchased my MAC so I decided to purchase the Netgear. It was easy to setup and all of my devices (13+) don't have any problems connecting to my home network. I have apple, pc, sony devices and they all connect without problem. The speed is good too! The only thing I didn't like which is a small issue is the size and the way it sits upright. I would prefer it to lay down, but that is a small thing considering it sits atop my credenza book shelf.

I've had it for about a week now. Very, very fast compared to my old Cisco 1000 router. Also comes with preset security code and was without a doubt the easiest setup I've ever encountered. I also stream Netflix to my BluRay DVD players and smart TV and that is much, much improved. Has at least doubled the DB rate.

    Another Great Netgear Router

Upgraded from a WNDR3700v1 (now an AP) to this for some newer features. Easy to install, all web setup. Has a greater range and USB options than the WNDR3700. Everything on my network, wired and wireless, saw the new router with no issues and connected to the internet with no problems. Fast speeds in my network all the time between devices. Just get the latest firmware and you'll have a great router.

    Excellent Throughput!

I'm upgrading from an old netgear router. This router essentially doubled the coverage in my house. I am at full strength throughout my house and back yard. Heck I can see my router halfway down my block. The speedtest results are excellent. Much faster for wifi transfer than I had been getting. The guest network is very handy. I have not been able to get it to turn my network printer into an airprint so my iPad can print to it. It claims it's enabled but my iPad cannot detect it on the network. Overall, great router with tons of signal strength and massive throughput.

This is the best router EVER!

We bought this router in the hopes that it would address horribly slow speed and very limited range of the Apple Airport Extreme (x2). The primary AE was upstairs and had bridged the second unit via ethernet cable. S....L.....O.....W..... and very weak signal which was very disappointing since I am definitely an Apple fan. I figured what the heck, let's try something different and just see. Got this NETGEAR unit home, followed the instructions to configure online (which was pretty easy), and we were instantly BLOWN AWAY! This has to be the most incredible router on the market for home use. Speed is insane with zero latency and the signal strength is just ridiculous. I am still able to pull on our network from across the street in the neighbors house! Buy this router today...

    Simple install WOW - NICE

The hardest part of installing this was opening the box-package was bullet proof. While a bit on the high end on price it has been flawless. The security is great and the passwords are easy to manage. My only issue is that the light on the front is on all the time, while not bright it seems like a bit of a waste. Range is strong, security is very good and it works right out of the box - simple simple simple.

I have been using this router for over week now, and it's SO fast and was super easy to setup. We have two laptops, 2 iPads, 2 Apple TVs, and various other equipment accessing the internet (Wii, iPod), and this router is unbelievably fast even with all that. I went from downloading a 1 1/2 hour movie in 1 1/2 hours to 2 minutes. We can even watch movies before they finish downloading with iTunes, which we could never do with the old router due to the horrible bandwidth. I can also use my Apple TVs without the constant stops and starts when I am trying to listen to playlists or the radio. I can't say enough great things about this! Well worth the price at this point. The range seems pretty good - 4 or more bars throughout the entire house. I was a little reticent to spend so much money, but I am glad I did. Additionally, I was able to set this up and connect everything in my house to it in less than 10 minutes!!!!

Not a tech genius, but I can figure things out eventually. I've owned this for about a month and so far no issues to report. My previous router was a Netgear N300 WiFi Router that I had for a couple of years. The N300 still works like a champ, but I wanted an upgrade. I wanted the Nighhawk AC1750, but the foot print was a turn-off for me as space is a premium and I didn't want to hang it on the wall either. Though the Netgear R6300 is big, it stands upright so the foot print isn't so bad really. The set-up is REALLY easy and choosing between 2.4 & 5G for WiFi is easy as well. My devices that don't support 5G do not even show up as an option to connect, so this makes it easy if you're not sure what devices are 2.4 or 5G. No complaints thus far. This is my third Netgear purchase and haven't had any issue so far. Definitely recommend!

We have been using this router for the past three months, and I have to say it has been one of the best ones I have purchased. We have 4 smart phones, 3 tablets, 2 personal computers, and 2 laptops hooked up to it and it delivers fast quality internet every time. We also have our Blu-ray player hooked up to it for video down streaming and it doesn't miss a beat. The range is about double our old Netgear router. I can even receive a signal at the end of our driveway at the mailbox! I would defiantly by this router again if I had the chance.

    Great Router So far

So far so good! Bought this router to replace an ASUS RT-N56U that was becoming troublesome. (started limiting bandwidth for no apparent reason and dropping connections...having to reset almost daily to use at all) After trying a bunch of firmware updates/settings on the ASUS, I decided to move on and gave the R6300 a try. So far I'm very impressed with it! Easy to setup and configure the way I wanted. I have several devices connected via wired, and various G, N, and AC devices via both wireless bands. So far, all devices are keeping stable fast connections, and no issues with available bandwidth being choked as I was experiencing with the ASUS router. Excellent range as well inside my house...as good as the ASUS, and perhaps a little better.

It's been awhile since I've been blown away by an electronic device but this modem did it. 3 minute setup (plugged it in and opened a browser and was working) and is 4 TIMES FASTER than the router I just bought a year ago. Was the most expensive one on the shelf but this new WiFi technology is so worth it... I did a speedtest.net and now literally download as fast as if it was plugged in via an ethernet cable. THANK YOU NETGEAR! P.S. The Netgear Genie app is cool, too - can access and control from my Android phone. Also love that I can plug a flash drive into it and have that as a backup hard drive.
