I can access the internet on my devices from basement to 2nd floor. It's so "choice". If you have the means, I highly suggest picking one up.

We have had this router for about 6 weeks now. So far, no issues with it. I love being able to plug in my back up hard drive to it so we can access it from any computer. I love the two different networks it can broadcast in. So far though, none of my computers at home can access the 5 ghz network. However, my cellphone can. I do think having both networks will allow this router to be one that can be used for years and years as technology advances. Also, I like being able to use an app on my phone to check/maintain my network settings. I also like the ability to have a guest network enabled (though I haven't used that option yet).

This is my first time to set up a wireless router. The NetGear Wireless AC router was very easy to set up. It worked nicely with my DSL modem and everything I had connected to my old wired-only router. Connecting wireless devices was also as simple as you could ask for. I am very pleased with this router and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs both a good wireless connection and fast wired connections.

By the best the first time, so you dont have prob.

So I went thru a couple before I landed here... Tried Linksys EA6400 $90 BF, TPLink C7v2 $80 BF and after stealing this on BF for $90 - the internet culture in our home has exploded. Huge 3 story home with the router on the top floor and I am pulling 90+mbps/20+mbps on the 2.4GHz N network using a $10 usb dongle on the basement HP workstation! On 5Ghz, I am seeing 120mbps/25mbps. Only AC device is the iP6 Plus which pegs the speedtest needle no matter my location. Everything just goes... updates, video, all just blink and it done. Its like the phone no longer has cold. We only pay for 50mbps service... so very very happy. Only other router I will consider after this is the Netgear R7000... It doesn't have the polished executive look of the R6300 but both are worth $200 and are netgear's finest - R7000 is the next level up if I just want more bragging rights and more equipment is use (like 20+ devices vs. our 12-15). Nothing in our home loading time much any more... just fires up and GOES. Very very happy on all clients.

No problems installing and it covers my second floor and the yard. Two story house and I can go two houses away. ;)

The router was extremely easy to install and configure. The coverage beats my old G router by a mile (well, mayby not a mile, but it covers the whole 3-story house whereas the old one did not). It has a nice glossy finish and backlight which makes it much more atttractive on my desk than other routers.

so much more powerful then previous router able to handle every device in the hose and others when more people come to visit none loses connection or gets a slow connection. reaches areas that weren't getting a signal for connection where some devices are used the most.

We purchased this router for use in a semi-public area and it works beautifully, with many devices accessing it at the same time.

This is a really sleek and cool looiking wireless router plus it works! Have much farther range than my old linksys. Not much else to say. I'm happy with the performance. Geek Squad actually installed and configured, but it didn't take them long at all to config to 2 computers and a printer.

Old wireless unit kept crashing. Between everyone's computers, smart phones, iPads and the smart TV the pipe was just too small. This dual band router solved all problems of slow data transfer and crashes. Highly recommend.

Im an online gamer. I play MW3 online and my kd went up immediately. Port forwarding is tricky. Im used to a Cisco router. So I eventually got it. Awsome speed and bandwidth.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I'm a bit technically challenged but the directions to set it up are so simple, I had no problems at all!

I will keep this short cause I see some bad reviews. I am an IT guy and work with all the gear. I have had this for 5 months. It is solid, have had no problems. Easy to config, and love the way you can easy update the firmware. Any browser can view the config page with ease. I also love the free netgear.opendns filter. I set it to moderate and forget it, everything in the house is filtered. No need to worry about what product is brought into the house, everything gets filtered. The guest network is nice, and the range is great.

This router is the best one I have had. There is no place in our 4,000 sq. ft. where I ever lose signal. The download rate is remarkable

With a house full of wireless devices, its nice to actually be able to have them all function and stay connected to the internet at the same time. Good for streaming, gaming, web browsing all at once!
