I needed one of these devices to enable my HP desktop computer to connect to my wireless network. This “transponder” (?) msde tge connection.

Perfect gizmo for my very old home computer which was not wifi compatible.

The Netgear-Dual-Band Wireless-AC USB Network Adapter allowed me to connect my older HP Laptop to my Wi-Fi Router through my Cable Provider.

Works as described. WiFi quit working on an older laptop. This netgear product enabled the laptop to have WiFi again.

It is easy to configure. It is also easy to follow the Installation via your WEB Page. Great job!

Purchased this because I needed it only temporarily. It was plug-and-play and worked without any hitches. Did not need it for high speed streaming or downloads, so I cannot speak to that. But for the price it worked exactly as it says it does.

Both the product (netgear dual band wireless adapter) and the Geekscoud member who did the installation were more than could be expected in these Covid times. All work was done appropriately and timely and all function as expected,

My old one used to discounted a lot and I would have to restart my computer. This one works a lot better and has a strong connection. I never had had problems with it disconnecting. It’s very small so doesn’t look bad either. 10/10 I love it.

Gave new life to my old Dell XPS. Upgrading to Windows 10 is not supported by the NIC. So with this USB network adapter, I’m running max speed on my network, ~240Mbits/sec.

My sons laptop is a hand me down, and it was very slow. Just opening chrome took a pile of time, and he was dogged by slow speed pulling up websites and doing YouTube. I installed this and went from 22mbps to over 200mbps. Rock solid product.

I needed this for a PC I built. Really didn't think this tiny thing is going to pick up the Wi-Fi signal downstairs, but it works flawlessly. The speeds are good enough for online gaming, and very good download speeds. Keep in mind you do need to go to the website to download the drivers for to work. So make sure you have another PC or laptop to download the drivers, put it on a USB, and then install that software on the new PC or laptop.

It’s a simple device. Just “plug and play”. It does the job quite well.

After narrowing my problem down to the network adapter I saw this on Best Buys website. I went to the store for the purchase and a young salesman asked if I needed help and I did. He showed me all that was available and after expressing that I didn't want to spend alot on this old computer he recommended this Netgear product. I bought it on his advice and came home plugged it in and in a few minutes this old XPS was back to rockin.

Does what it's supposed to do. It's not far from my router so can't testify to the range, but I plugged it in and it worked, and the speed is more than adequate.

I had to install drivers in order to get it to work. Once installed it works great!!!
