There are similar products that don't require you to download anything to work which was ultimately what I bought.

I decided to change it and it's not good. Keep the following in mind... when you buy and connect Windows you cannot find the driver and you are offline. I had to take a laptop, download the driver from the internet onto a pendrive and put it on the computer. This job was already terrible to begin with. Very low speed and constant drops, even adjusting the power and driver windows settings, it is a very poor product. If you look on the internet there are a lot of reviews and their website doesn't help at all.

I think it’s redundant to sell something you have to purchase a subscription to another program

Late that night I got a text that the item was damaged and the carrier returned it to the store. I was refunded the amount of the item but not the delivery charge. I didn't return the item, the delivery company did. Totally bogus handling of the refund.

Was able to play games online but had unplayable high ping. Not a problem when i used ethernet.

A previous adapter, which broke, was able to get a strong signal. This one gave me the equivalent of one bar and was continually dropping the signal. I ended up returning it and getting a different adapter from another company.
