Only reason not giving 5 stars is because app is buggy sometimes not able to connect to extender.

Good extender. Does what it’s designed to do

In a three story townhouse so getting signal throughout is a challenge. Have purchased another extender, same model so that each floor has something to connect to. Love the fact that WIFI name stays consistent, particularly for guests.

Doesn't work as advertised

Seems simple enough. There are not a ton of settings to configure in the admin panel so there's not much you can mess up. However, the features do not work as advertised. The mesh doesn't work for most devices. It wouldn't move from netgear router to netgear extender seamlessly. You'd constantly have to disconnect/reconnect just to get internet to work. Tried all the options and even called in to their support. The support tier 2 I finally got asks me why I'm trying to use it like this. He said it won't work and to just use it as an access point since I had a hard wired connection in the area I was using it. It's a cheap product so at least it does extend the network with a different SSID in other parts of the house. Not as convenient, but passable. His other option was to upgrade to one of their flagship $2k+ mesh systems. Not only is that overkill, but I'd have zero confidence it would work any better than this cheap product! Not sure why they advertise as this being a mesh product when it clearly doesn't work. At least for me it didn't and I'm in the IT field so I'm not exactly a nube when it comes to technology.

Adding Mesh Range Extender

My local WIFI provider did not have anything remotely similar in price range or effectiveness to handle a drop in connection speeds (after 9 trouble-free years) for the highrise flat I live in.
