Had to return this router, was unable to plug it where I wanted, however it worked great where I was able to plug it in breifly

Overheats, needs a much better cooling capability or internal fan.

Works great. I has extended my Wi-Fi to almost all over the house.

I've been a Netgear loyalist for years but this is the second consecutive bad experience I've had with their equipment. I bought this to upgrade our current WiFi extender and increase signal to the most distant corner of our home. After setup the signal was reduced and throughput was 1/3 of what we had previously. Customization options are very limited and no amount of tweaking improved the performance. Settings changes also took extremely long periods to save in the unit. The firmware was not the latest version and attempts to update the firmware manually (the automatic system couldn't find the internet even though all the pertinent settings were correct) were unsuccessful as every attempt timed out. The last Netgear router I bought had to be replaced twice by the company after their automatic firmware updates at initial setup bricked the devices both times. And their tech support has become atrocious so I didn't even attempt that for this device. After hours of attempting to make this work, I had to give up and return it. This will be my last attempt at using a recent Netgear product.

Average because all the 4 lights don’t always stay green. But this equipment is more affordable than the other brands.

It worked for the most part. Sometimes, it would randomly kick me out of the Wi-Fi and I had to sign back in.

This device requires a subscription for it to work. That was not what I was looking for, so I returned the item. Make sure you understand the difference between a standard extender and a mesh device. This device seems to be high quality & might be great for some.

It works sporadically. There are times it works and other times it doesn’t.

Literally doesn't work? Set up is impossible. App sucks. Too vague. Gives useless "help" instructions when it inevitably doesn't connect.

Trash setup application if you ever want to use the product in a second WiFi network. Completely stuck and cannot reset password, and factory reset did not work.

I bought this item because I needed extra coverage in my house for outdoor home security items. I could not get this to connect to the items. Tried to get help from Tech Support. I don't like having to speak with someone who is not fluent in English and understand the problems involved in setting up the product. I got frustrated and decided to return the item back to Best Buy and just use the older extender that I was currently using.
