I installed this Netgear range extender and linked it to my new Netgear router. Installation was straightforward. I experimented with several locations and found the one that worked best for extending access throughout my home. So far everything has worked well. I am very pleased with this solution. I like the mesh system that provides seamless access to the same Internet connection throughout my home.

Just what I needed. Until I purchased this product, my Wi-Fi did not reach the entire house. Now I have strong Wi-Fi in each room. Also was easy to setup.

Netgear EAX15 extender really not meshing.

While this works well as as single SSID name extender I don't believe it is a true "mesh" unit unless it used with with other Netgear products. I am an IT person and know how commercial mesh systems work. In this application it is being used with T-Mobiles new 5G home internet unit which supports Wi-Fi 6 and "mesh" units in the AX band, The new modem supports the AX band/protocol. On my modems dashboard it shows if a Wi-Fi 6 AX unit is meshed with it and it does not. It shows zero devices connected. On my network it just shows up as another extender with an IP address, In commercial systems one radio will hand off to the other as you move through a building and you'd never know it. Since this unit is not "meshed" with the modem there are some contention issues on whether the device (phone / tablet) continues receiving its signal from the modem or the extender. When close to the extender my phone is still connected to the TMO modem and really doesn't hand off as I expected it should. once beyond the modems signal then extender picks it up. The idea of mesh systems in commercial units is to give you a solid decent signal as you move through a building. Works great as an extender but at this point do not believe its a true mesh system unit. Use as you see fit.

Existing AT&T Uverse wireless coverage from the router in the basement was insufficient and I couldn't justify a mesh system like the Orbi. I plugged the EAX15 in on the main floor in the center of the house, installed the app, and updated the firmware in less than 15 minutes. This extender amplifies the existing wireless 2.4 and 5 Ghz signals using the same SSID's unlike the earlier non-mesh generation units without a noticeable performance drop. All of the existing wireless devices automatically connected to stronger signal.

I bought this for my ring driveway cam because I wasn’t getting a strong enough WiFi connection. It did increase the WiFi signal but I thought it would do a better job. Overall I’m happy with it.

This product has worked very well. We just needed the wifi to extend a bit further for a security camera. This has made the wifi work great! It was easy to set up and I would recommend this product and will get another if I need it in the future

I live in a separate Basement Apt where the wifi has always been spotty because the internet is provided through my landlord who lives upstairs and the router is placed upstairs. The best speed I’d get was around 40 mbps and only in the far corner of my apartment. Now after installing my new netgear extender, I’m consistently pulling speeds of 100mbps all through by apt across multiple devices. This little extender is worth all the money and I wish I would have bought it sooner.

After attempts to find a compatible wifi antenna for my Win 7 computer, I bought the AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 exteder/booster to the issue of connecting to the internet. Not only did it pair easily with my Spectrum wifi router, but I was able to get over 200 Mbs download speed and 20 Mbs upload speed on a broadband test. I also have better wifi reception on my outdoor patio, which is closer to my office. Reasonable price, faily easy to setup on the Blackhawk app and works well with my older gaming computer. It comes with an RJ-45 port, which I connected to my lan port for faster speeds. Very happy now. Avoided having to install Windows 10 to get a wifi adapter that would be compatible with my old beast.

So I was skeptical of range extenders, the last one I had was absolutely terrible. But I bought this one because mesh extenders have gotten good reviews. The setup was simple and the performance is way better than expected. Once in a while itll disconnect but its so infrequent and reconnects so quickly its not noticeable, the only reason I noticed it was because I was looking for a problem. Overall very good and does better than expected.

Oustanding product. Helped to alleviate a wifi issue in a bedroom on the opposite side of the house from the main wifi hotspot. Signal is of the same quality as the main part of the house. Seamless transition from one network to the next.

I bought two of these and had them running for a month of two now. I have a 300 sq ft single story house which has a large footprint. I have my router in the middle of the house and one booster toward the front of the house and one toward the back. There are random times when the booster disconnects from the router. I can tell this because I look at the blackhawk app and my map now only shows one booster. When this happens I usually have to go figure out which one isn't connected any more and then unplug it and plug it back in. This usually works to reconnect it to the router. I SHOULD NOT have to do this. The other issue I have noticed is that my Amazon Alexa device that sits in between the router and one of the boosters goes offline quite a bit. This could be a different issue altogether but it started with the installation of these boosters. My theory on this is that the device can't make it's mind up on connecting through the booster or the router directly and it jumps back and forth because there will be periods of time when listening to the radio on it and the line at the bottom will change to orange for a minute while it reestablishes connection.

Works incredibly well if you have a good place to install. Set up was super easy and took 5 minutes. Only need to download app and follow instructions. We had two dead spots where we had NO wifi access. With the installation of this extender, we no longer have any wifi issues.

Awesome item. Worked great. My sons room downstairs and my daughter's room across from his had a bad wifi signal because the main router was upstairs. I actually have 2 of these now one in my daughter's room and one in my sons room. They both use the rj45 cable because it has one rj45 port and they use that for a hard wire connection. Makes a world of difference litterally night and day. Both went from a weak signal always buffering videos could not ay online games to a gigabit connection and now they can watch a movie and play online games at the same time if they wanted to. Its so so much faster. Also there phones are connected at the fastest speed they can connect at with wifi. My son told me he wished i did this for him a long time ago. They are super fast took care of any dead zones for wifi gave them a hard wire connection and it does 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz and im telling you its so worth the price. Also super easy to hook up just download the phone app and follow the instructions.
