Great USB Wifi Adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Wifi adapter after a recommendation from a forum member at a discussion forum of my internet service provider. The Wifi adapter they used for my installation turned out being very unreliable and constantly dropped my connections and my speeds were slow. When I called for help and pointed out I felt this was the problem they always overlooked this adapter. I picked this up the night I was told by the forum member this was what I needed and he could not believe what my service provider installed anyway. This Wifi adapter works great with my Netgear Modem/router and was so easy to install. Now I have the fastest download speeds I have ever had and not one dropped connection. Thank you Best Buy!.

Only works on laptops and PC's
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was told by a sales person that this item would work on my smart tv. When I opened this product and connected it to my wireless network, as it described, it would not connect my smart tv as the sales person said. Upon doing some reading and research, it is only recommended for laptops and PC's.

Too expensive for such a bad performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for ~$45 (after tax) and expected it to be easy and portable solution for wireless network. However, I had a lot of issues with lost signal, constant speed drops and overall weak performance. Considering how weak it performs at ~20ft distance from a router compared with iPhone, Windows Phone, Surface and 2 laptops I should say that this is total and utter fail of a product.

Simple setup, works well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replaced a cheap Rosewill adapter that I bought elsewhere a little over a year ago, which had stopped working. CD drive was broken on my mom's PC, so I downloaded the driver on my phone, transferred it via USB, and installed it, following the instructions that came with this Netgear Wi-Fi adapter. Plugged it in, connected to the home Wi-Fi network, and it has been connected ever since (a month or so) without need to reconnect, like the old one, and with better speed. A cheap alternative to a LONG ethernet cable, or relocating things, for a desktop that isn't conveniently placed near your modem and router.

Unreliable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup: Connected to a Netgear router serving as an access point that was 30ft away. Security: WPA2-Personal Mixed (used TKIP and AES) I bought this for a pc that was nowhere near an ethernet jack. The previous Linksys wireless adapter was having issues, so I bought this as a replacement. I followed the instructions and installed the necessary drivers using the cd. Upon connecting it to the network, the connection immediately dropped. Attempting to reconnect, it kept giving an error when trying to connect to the access point. Defined an IP address and DNS and tried again. It successfully connected, but then said there was no internet access. Restarted the pc, still performed the same behavior. Uninstalled the drivers, restarted the pc, reinstalled the drivers got it connected, but it worked for 5 minutes with an impossibly slow transfer speed. I uninstalled the drivers and immediately took it back to the store. Bought another Linksys one and it worked perfectly.
