A good mid-price product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.went from a g router to an N some time ago. was having lots of problems with connectivity. finally replaced my adapter with an N adapter & figured that would solve the problems. and it has, mostly. i live in an old neighborhood & our service (in ALL areas) just isn't as good as a pre-wired community. of course we pay cox the same money...but that's another story. anyway, this might be the best adapter ever, & i wouldn't have any better outcome. it's manageable now. i was having a new problem, in that my computer would just randomly reboot, so i contacted netgear support online. they responded promptly & gave me some possibilities & a link to the proper driver software. that seems to have done the trick. finding info on their website is difficult for the novice. but their tech support was great.

Literally Plug and Go
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't want to run cable to a PC in the far end of the office, so I picked up the Netgear N300 USB Adapter. Fast installation on a Windows 7 machine. Excellent range and performance. Will make you rethink scuttling around in crawlspaces and attics stapling wire.

Works great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its fast and reliable. Easy setup. Unlike other products like this that I have owned the software is barely noticeable. The device itself is sleek and the little mount that it comes with is a nice neat design. I set it up and haven't had to mess with it again.

Excellent Connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After suffering for four days with my carrier to fix my internet problem; I took it upon myself to resolve my issues. After researching products I came across NetGear's adapter as my solution. To my surprise it worked better then what I expected. Installation was smooth, and I didn't need to set-up a new internet connection, the device recognized my previous settings. In about 15 minutes I was back on launching sites and streaming video at lightning speeds. As a designer I couldn't ask for a better product to upload and download from clients "Clouds" and FTPs.

Easy to use and setup for anyone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to install and switch between different connections if needed. Windows 7 and Vista detected the adapter right after installing the software that comes with the CD. Found my Netgear router successfully and using the quick detect feature on the router and adapter my connection was setup in just 1 min. Since installing the adapter I have yet to come across any issues with connectivity to the internet.

Does what I need
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Due to needing Wifi closer to new Smart TV upstairs, had to move internet modum away from PC downstairs. Needed this to connect PC to internet. Installation was easy (CD included). Internet connection has been reliable and haven't noticed a drop in internet connection speed, though just a web surfer, not a web gamer.

Not ideal for across house connection
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was expecting more from this product. The computer I use this for is the farthest from the router one floor above. My laptop and phone easily have twice as strong connection I have using this wireless adapter. I have to lower my quality on youtube videos and it pauses/skips on live streams for example. This is even after changing internet providers to gain a stronger connection. Don't get me wrong, it gets the job done as an average wireless adapter however has hiccups now and then. I would not advise purchasing if you are not on the same floor/ close to the router. Do not try and save money as I did as it only causes frustration which I know now and would definitely pay a little extra for a superior product for the long run.

Had to update driver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was quick and easy, but I couldn't connect to the Internet until I downloaded and installed the latest drivers. So...if my computer couldn't connect to the Internet, how was I to download and install the latest driver. Thankfully I had my work computer at home and was able to use that and then transfer the files over. Little more hassle, but in the end the product works great and provides great speed!

Worked well on free wifi in RV park
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The RV park I stayed in for a few months had a free WiFi that had to be logged into daily and which had a data limit. Got around both of those problems and also got a stronger signal by using the Netgear USB N300 wireless adapter. Very good product.

Night & Day Difference
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At my office we use the Netgear WNR2000 which is about 40-50 feet away with several rooms and walls between it and where my computer is located. I had been using a old, internal Wireless-G card but had constant connection issues. Dropped packets, etc, even tho I had 3-4 bars. I picked up this adapter today and I instantly have 5 bars, connection has been solid all day. I can't seem to get the advertised 300 mbps connection, I'm topping out at 117, but that's fine with me, our net connection is only 8mb here and I don't transfer any files between PCs. The included cradle/usb extension is handy, lets me put the adapter in a higher position to get the best signal.

Great Wireless Adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to connect my desktop PC to our wireless network. This device does the trick quickly, reliably, and surprisingly, fairly easy to install. It appears NetGear wireless adapter is one of the best on the market. Prior to purchasing the NetGear I bought the Cisco Linksys - AE1000 High-Performance Wireless-N Adapter. I had to return the AE1000 cause it wouldn't install properly.

Easy wireless adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great item, easy to install, and very user friendly. Gives us internet on a computer on the other side of the house from our wireless adapter. Took about 30 seconds to set up, most of the time was getting it out of the packaging. Much easier than a card to install in the tower, or dealing with wires.

Excellent performance for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased this so that I could move my mom's pc downstairs and still have internet capability. The fact that it has the extra cable and stand makes it easy to see if she is connected to the network. It was pretty simple to install as well - any delays were due to my lack of knowledge and not the device/software install. It has been a few weeks and she has not complained of loss of signal or downtime so I am rating this high.

Easy 1 step wireless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless adapter was really easy to use and takes up very little space. It hasn't dropped a connection yet and I am constantly stressing it with heavy data traffic. It's sleek design is also a nice touch. Another great netgear product.

Great reception
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for my PC one floor down from where my wi-fi router is. I get excellent signal strength. It took a little getting used to when i reboot my computer and setting up my connection to the router but it takes less than a minute to do so and once I do, I have not had one moment of lost connection. I recommend this.

Good but strenuous if your Internet cuts out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The adapter it's self is great and looks great! Only issue is that whenever your Internet cuts out for just a split second, you're forced to unplug the adapter and plug it back in again...since my adapter was in the back of the CPU it was an inconvince to get back there but for the most part it does the job and works very fast!

Easy to install USB Network Adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to install a new wireless on my step daughters PC. The one she was using was an 802.11g card that I had purchased several years ago. Unfortunately the computer she had was a small form factor so many of the internal cards were not a viable option. I went with the Netgear since my router was also Netgear. Setup went very smoothly and performance was much improved over the old internal card.
