Great Adapter, but clunky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have a 3,200 sf home with the modem in the basement, and the adapter is mor than capable of receiving a signal at anywhere in our home. The only downside to it is that it sticks out a good 1.5-2 inches from the port, and since a laptop is mobile, the adapter often gets dinged around a bit. Out last adapter bent to the point it snapped off, and I could easily see it happening to this one over time. But for now, it is providing excellent signal pick-up.

Easy to install, look good, and works as it should
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is well made and the fact that you can use it with the stand and cord or just plug it in to a USB port is great for traveling. Speed is good and have not had any lock up issues or any lose of data.

Unreliable/Looses Connection/Needs Reset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This adapter was recommended by store employee. Easy install. However, almost immediate issues with slow speeds, loosing connection. Has to be unplugged to restore connection - VERY FRUSTRATING! Used within 20' of wireless router on same floor of home. All my other devices can hit router without problems or slow speeds from my neighbors house 350' down the street! DON"T WASTE YOUR $$$... buy a better adapter.

Nice adapter -- after you get over the price...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't use the CD to install it, just for the drivers. It works well, but is more directional than most. The range is average. When I first installed it, it didn't work because there are several other networks in this building. After I assigned it to several other channels to find one that was less used, it worked much better. I am pleased...

Works better than I thought
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking to cut expenses and have a wifi hot spot through Verizon. We had home DSL also. My computer is 8 yrs old so this product seemed to be a very logical purchase and the reviews were good. I am very pleased with it's ease of use. Great purchase and saves us $55 month dropping the home dsl through the local phone provider!

Good response...easy to install...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product was priced appropriately, and installed easily. It improved speed of operation of a fairly old PC, which was the primary reason for purchase.

So glad I bought this!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had trouble getting internet access to one particular computer in our house. The previous adapter was continually dropping the signal - it would happen every two minutes! I tried others, but had the same problem. Was always returning them to the store where I bought them. I finally decided to give this one a try. Perfecto! Hasn't dropped the connection once, and the speed is fantastic! Who knew that something as trivial as a working internet connection could make a person so happy!

It does what it's supposed to do. . .
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decent price and an easy set up. Comes with a little stand so it can sit nicely on the desk and look somewhat "clean" in appearance while allowing for the best positioning for optimal performance. No complaints.

works great with win 7 64
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a home network set up with a 2Wire DSL router. One compter is connected via ethernet, the other two (laptop and old tower) were wireless. My plan was to transfer the 802.1g 2Wire PCI card from the old Win 98 tower to a new windows 7 64 box. Unfortunately the windows 7 machine would not recognize the card even after downloading new drivers- the part number may have been too old. After reading reviews here, I decided to try the N-150 USB, but saw the N-300 on display for only a few bucks more. Bought it, and set it up in no time. A cradle with USB cord is included so there are no problems if your USB ports are crowded together. I do not broadcast the SSID of my network, but the software picked up a "blank" network. I chose it, entered the SSID, chose the security and then entered the security key, and I was up and running. No issues with the device when the computer is reawakened from sleep mode. I'm impressed enough that I would like to upgrade my DSL router to the Netgear N-300 DSL router also on display, which I have verified would work with my provider.

Works Fairly Well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this for my Acer Netbook as it is too old to join networks running newer protocols. Once I upgraded my router I had to either buy a new netbook or use a USB adapter to log on. Basically you just plug it in and, If the network is a Netgear product it is very simple to join the network. So at my home, no issues at all. On the other hand, at my daughter's house with a Mac Airporter, I still can not get in. Very frustrating as we spend considerable time there. Just got back from a trip overseas, worked fine there.

It works great now
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great now but I had a different brand and it worked great for about a year then it just stopped and i couldn't get any support so this time I went with a known brand so if this one does the same I can get support. What realy impressed meis the ease of connecting it up and starting to use.

Solid performance..a little clunky
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very happy with this adapter aside from its size. I purchased this because the built in adapter on my laptop started to freak out and I was never able to figure out why. It performs very well, but given that it's on a laptop, the size of the adapter is a little problematic. If it's plugged in directly it sticks out and snags on things. It does come with an extension to set it out of the way which helps. sometimes

Simple and fast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had one other network adapter that I hated because it would constantly need to be reset. However, this NETGEAR has been keeping up with all my internet surfing and hasn't given me or my computer any issues. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.
