Great wireless adaptor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a little trouble with the setup for Windows 7. I did get it to work. I have had it for about 4 months now and it works flawlessly. It was less expensive than getting an adaptor from my internet provider. I had to upgrade the old wireless adaptor when I upgraded to Windows 7.

Cuts out all the time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hook mine up to windows Vista 32 bit. I am always able to get a connection to my router after installing it, but right after it connects it loses connection to my router. I have other devices that connect wirelessly to my router with no issue so I'm sure it isn't a setting on the router. I am also a software engineer with plenty of knowledge to set up a usb adapter, but this one just simply has not worked after numerous reinstalls and reconnects. I tried different USB ports, but maybe it's just not compatible with Windows Vista. Stay away and get a powerline network adapter. way better. I also know there is full signal when connecting. The adapter just randomly drops the connection to the router each time it connects.

Great product versatility
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality item for the price. Connection has been more stable since I switched from my old G class card to the longer ranged N class card. Also with the cable lead I do not have a bulky card taking up way to much space around my USB connections in the back. Just the USB lead that comes out in seated connector to hold the card. The blue signal light is cool too.

Good wireless adapter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to connect my PC to the wireless signal coming from my AT&T U-Verse router and this did the job just fine. Make sure to follow the instructions and setup is pretty easy. The reception seems to be pretty good too. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to connect to a wireless router.

Works good....when it works....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a smaller 3 bedroom apartment and always liked Netgear so had no second thoughts on buying this product. Unfortunately it's very hit and miss. Most of the time it'll connect to internet for 10 minutes then for some reason it'll disconnect and it'll say "connected to router" and then 5 mins later it'll pop up saying connected to internet. My pc is connected farthest room of house but my Note 4, and my laptop all have strong signal there. So I have to assume it's the wireless adaptor. Never has really worked that great since I bought it, not sure if I just got a defective one or what. Plan to just buy a long ethernet cable and hardwire the pc.

Constant disconnections, fights most programs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this USB adapter for quite some time now and I had bought it out of necessity due to my internal wireless card not fitting in my new PC build with room for adequate cooling. I thought it handy at first with the auto connect button since I had, at the time, a Netgear wireless router. I worked for 3 days without issues, then the problems started. It would disconnect every hour or when it reached more than 5% of it's capacity. With the included software it would occasionally unlearn the security key and refuse to use the key once you have re-entered it until the computer was restarted. Other times it would drop your current IP settings then not be able to work out new ones. After having this issue several times I entered my IP addressing manually but still had the issue with the security key so I dropped the program altogether and went for the Windows 7 wireless management. Not a huge improvement but slightly better. Same things at my friend's house and same things when I moved and used a different router so I was sure it was the card. The issues are worse with older routers/modems. Truly horrid if you like the internet for more than an hour at a time or use games, voip or Skype. It especially hates Skype. I only manage 5 minutes to a half hour before the net is gone. I'll be biting the bullet and going wired again, this being my second USB and my fourth Netgear product, I'm not sure if I will buy from them again.
