We got this for a desktop computer not attached to the modem. Seems slower than advertised. Loses connection frequently. Set up was fairly easy. But it does work.

I bought this product because I had to put my desktop in an area where it could not be hardwired to internet and the Netgear was easy to install and gets a great signal.

I have a Toshiba laptop that had the wireless adapter quit working. I bought this USB wireless adapter rather than spending the money to send the laptop back to Toshiba to fix / replace. It was easy to install the software and get it working; but when I went to work and tried to log in on our wireless internet, it was not compatible with the security encryption (WPA2-Commercial) or dash something, I forget the actual name. Anyway, because of the lack of compatibility, I returned it.

Budget level wireless connectivity will work fine for most as getting faster than n speeds surfing the net is tough. Connectivity is good. The cable allows you to position the antennas away from the case and where you need it for better reception. Works fine in Win 10. The downside is that it doesn't have all the latest bells and whistles and I'm not a big fan of extra utilities to get a networking product functioning under Windows.

This is the second N300 I have purchased. While it is not the cheapest wireless USB adapter available, this one sets up quickly and easily and functions correctly right off the bat.

Easy to install and works great in a multi-level house. Consistently good wireless connection when playing online as well. I would recommend this product.

This wireless adapter is a good deal when you are attempting to connect a computer of earlier vintage to the internet wirelessly. It worked fine on my desktop HP. I did have to disable some anti-virus software to get it to work, but that is not the fault of the device.

Great easy to use product. Plug and play out of the box. Maintains signal strength and if it ever goes down just unplug it and plug it back it and back to full working order.

This has been a great wireless adapter for me. I bought it so that I could move my older computer into a different room for my kids to use for homework, and it has worked great! I have had no problems with connections at all, even when they are playing games.

Perfectly good on window, but setting up ndiswrapper is a pain for this one, at least I had problems with the correct drivers/settings for it. So, minus 1 star for that. Find something with broadcom chipset if using on linux.

This adapter worked well in my sons room but couldn't keep up with World of Warcraft. I would suggest this adapter for someone who searches the web and plays light gaming.

I had some problems getting it going for a PC I use in the living room for entertainment. I eventually got it working after a couple of times of going through the process of set up. I have not had any problems in the couple of weeks I have had it since.

This adapter does it's job well. I have two of them, one running on a Windows 10 box and one running on Windows 7. Both are performing remarkably well. I have had no troubles at all. The software loads smoothly and both devices picked up my WiFi AP immediately.

I bought this NetGear without reviewing hoping to convert my old computer to wireless. I was very satisfied to find the USB adapter did not present any problems. It works great and now I can use my old computer tower and keyboard in its new location.

I needed to add internet ability to an old dell desktop computer, the network card I had had long since lost all support and I couldn't get the compatible drivers to work. I decided to buy a USB network adapter so that when I do upgrade to a newer pc, I can transfer it with ease. You can plug it directly into your computer or use the little cradle that has a 3 foot long cord attached to it. If you have a netgear router, the connection is as easy as pressing the button on the adapter, and the connect button on the router. I chose to input the password to connect but either way it's still very simple.
