Works with Windows not Linux

However, it is very problematic with Linux. Although there are drivers written by 3rd parties for Netgear adaptors, they don't work with every Linux distribution. If running Linux, you may want to consider an ASUS adaptor - my Ubuntu distribution as well as PCBSD recognized it right away and it runs fine.

They are competitively priced for SoHo marketplace, and better quality than other competitive USB wireless adapters. Online support for drivers and documentation is easy to navigate and well-organized. For the same or slightly more $$, I would always recommend Netgear, and this N300 Wireless-N USB Adapter (and it's N600 & N900 siblings) are no exception.

Bought it hoping it would work with a few different flavors of Linux and just couldn't get it right. Can't really knock the card for that I suppose. On Windows the range was pretty good. It worked great everywhere in the apartment. And can't complain about the speed either.
