Easy to install and works well.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace a cheap $10. adapter that I destroyed when I turned over a cup of coffee next to the keyboard. I was lucky that that was the worst damage. This is a decent replacement but there is a separation in a place where two pieces of plastic should fit tightly. No problem with performance so I'll keep it and recommend it to a friend.

Perfect solution & cheap too
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought a new HP computer with a hefty price tag. I ordered it with the card array so I could (as with my past computers) insert my camera card and download photos. The card array was DOA and HP had a very feeble response (BOO), so I went looking for a solution. This worked right out of the box - a perfect solution and cost next to nothing, giving me time to battle HP without waiting for my photos.

Works as expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wireless adapter died on my laptop and I did not want to buy another laptop. This adapter was a quick solution. It works as expected with simple setup instructions. Only complaint is the item isn't a micro size adapter....Moving around with my laptop isn't the easiest anymore as I now have to be careful of the adapter hanging from the laptop.

Excellent functionality. Manageable price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless adapter is perfect for getting a MS Windows computer that's 2 to 7 years old onto your wireless network. The backwards comparability allows you to join either a 802.11g network or the newer MIMO 802.11n network, depending on what your access point can use.

Works like a charm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The N300 is perfect for desktop systems that don't have built in wireless. Just pop it in. It easily detected our wireless network, and I was able to log in without a problem. The performance is more than adequate for playing online games and streaming video. I have had zero issues with the device since installing it. In terms of bang for the buck, you can't go wrong with the N300.

Easy setup / helpful USB extension cord
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Installation was easy and quick. The USB extension cord is why I bought this model. It gets the adapter up higher and (in theory) gets better reception. It is also handy since we share it between computers. You can grab it from the "cradle" instead of bending over backwards behind the 'puter. It has a blue light, so you know somethings happening and it doesn't run hot.

Does what it was made to do.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my grandson to use with the first gaming system he just has ever put together. I was leary with 2 other computers and a PS4 going it may not give him enough to still play in his competitions at the frame rates he built the computer to run at. It does the job he needs it to do without signal lag or slowing him down. It isn't losing out to the hardwired units.

Adequate - barely.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I selected this wireless adapter based on the relatively low price and the Netgear name. The old adage holds true - You get what you pay for. As long as my wife's computer does not go into "Sleep" mode, the adapter works fine. Once the system sleeps, however, the adapter drops its connection to the network, and the only way to get it to reconnect is to physically remove the adapter from the USB port, wait at least 15 seconds, and plug it back in. (Actually, rebooting the system USUALLY works as well, but it's a major pain in the posterior.) My recommendation - spend another $10 or $15 and get a better adapter. As a side note, I've owned several pieces of Netgear equipment in the past, and this is the first time I've been disappointed.
