Great replacement for my broken wireless card does exactly what I need it to from all the way across the house.

Got this for my father in law who has an older laptop where the wireless card had gone bad. He was visiting for a week and needed to do some work (online). Didn't want to spend a lot because it would be used so little. He was able to plug this into the USB port on his laptop and connect with no issues. He said it was a little slow, but nothing that prevented him for doing everything he needed. Perfect little device for quick/basic wifi access.

Unlike several other units USB WiFi adapters I have had, this one is not recognized by windows and requires driver installation. It wants you to install its management software, but this can be bypassed and only the drivers be installed. Whats worse is that this is on a CD and laptops are getting harder to find with a CD drive. Fortunately i had an external drive and was able to get it going.
