There's a lot of tweaking to be done with this thing until it can be used properly. Off the bat, it doesn't work too well... It's a 300mbps max, that only brings in around 5-6 MBs (from what i've seen) max. On top of that it was constantly dropping the signal or even weirder disconnecting itself. By that I mean the USB port would randomly lose the connection electronically, not physically. Had to change a lot of settings to get things working correctly but in the end it wasn't worth the hassle and I went with a cheaper PCIe x1 WiFi card that I got for $13 that performs much better. Stay away from USB wifi hubs. They aren't worth it. Also if you are wondering where I customized the settings for this product please google N300 USB and keywords like "changes" or "tweaks". All in all, not bad on a pinch, but not worth it in the long term unless you don't have a PCIe x1 slot or built in wifi already. It's good enough for what it is though, so I'll give it a pass I suppose.

This was an affordable solution to my connectivity problem.

Had my system restored by Geek Squad under a ppd service agreement. NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY. They suggested this Netgear add-on and I was able to keep Windows 7 as opposed to purchasing new laptop with Windows 8. Couldn't have afforded new right now anyway. What a great solution (I wouldn't have known a gadget like this even existed if not for Best Buy and their Customer Service.

Runs faster than my old G router, which no longer would connect.
