This product is great if you are not looking for gaming aspects. Even if you were using it for gaming, it would still work just fine. But if you are a college student and just need a wireless connection to your PC and it doesn't have built in Wi-Fi, then this is the product for you.

I used this to replace an old Linksys that kept giving me problems with my old Windows XP system. The drivers kept making the computer blue screen. My kids use this computer for learning games, and I've had no problems with it.
When one of my wife's work computers was giving her problems, I bought one for it as well.

Bought this as a present and it didn't disappoint. It's being used on a desktop computer that is in a room that can't we wired, angles of the walls are such that running ethernet can't be done without tearing out large pieces of drywall. This solved the issue for the person I gave it to, saved him hundreds more than it's cost.

I bought this to use with an older PC that doesn't have a free PCI slot. I installed it with no problems, and It is faster and handles streaming youtube video better than when I did have a wireless card in it. It is installed in a fee USB port on the PC front panel and is about twenty feet away from the router in another room.

I have used this product several times and it is consistent with connecting with the highest speed possible. They just work. I would recommend that the wireless router/access point also be a Negear n300 series to take full advantage of the product.

I bought it for my desktop computer because my new apartment didn't have a cable plug in the room where the computer was located. It took a little bit to figure out but I was able to get it to work. It works great. I would recommend it to someone else.

This is my first experience with this item. My son uses them all the time and recommends them to friends. I was amazed at the efficiency and rapid set up. Once set up it turned my desktop PC into a wireless PC. I am very happy about that. I highly recommend this adapter. The price was very reasonable too.

Purchased another brand (netgear) to setup on a PC to run multiple wifi tests to optimize a network and others were not showing the performance no matter what setting we choose but this adapter you could tell the difference between settings which gave me a good indicator how to config the wifi for the client .

Bought this for my mother, as the cheap Rosewill adapter I bought her a couple years ago finally died. Might be able to save a couple bucks going somewhere else, but since I was already at Best Buy, I just thought it would be easier to buy it, rather than shop around.
Anyway, the CD drive in my mom's PC doesn't work, and without an internet connection, I was forced to download the drivers on my phone, transfer them via USB, install them, and then plug in the wireless USB adapter. Kind of a bad workaround, but not the fault of the manufacturer. Anyway, once I got the driver installed and plugged in the adapter, everything worked quickly and seems to hold a pretty good connection. No complaints, and now Mom is happy that she doesn't have to use her Kindle for everything, haha.
Setup was simple, works pretty well, and not stupidly expensive. Would recommend for basic internet and wi-fi. For faster speeds w/a better router, maybe the dual-band or better speeds would work better, but this is basic internet with a somewhat old router. No need for anything fancy.

Love the new wireless adapter. I have an older computer that is not wireless and the internet cable port died on me also. This adapter is great because you can plug it in and it has a little stand holding the adapter you place anywhere and the little light on the adapter shows there is a good connection.

This is a great product; provides much better connectivity than others on the market. It is used in a healthcare setting and is mobile constantly. Would be better if it were shorter, but that may not be possible given the technology used to provide better connectivity.

The lap top would no longer connect to the Wi-Fi . Tether g myself with a cable was constraining. With this, I can roam the house again, and no one has to worry about trippin& over cables. I just have to remember it sticks out the side of the laptop and not to bump it.

Easy Wireless Upgrade Compatible with Windows 10

During a recent Windows 10 upgrade on a desktop in the house the previous wireless adapter stopped working due to incompatibilities. In a pinch I checked online for compatible devices and spotted this model available from Netgear.
Installation was straightforward after a simple driver download. Configured the adapter to connect to the wireless network in the house and tested. Speeds were acceptable at about 90Mbps down and 20Mbps up which was limited by the current router. Signal was strong as well and since the purchase have not had any issues.

Was having trouble getting good wireless signal strength after switching to a cable modem. Purchased this product at the suggestion of a Best Buy salesperson and it works great. No connectivity problems since purchasing it and having my son-in-law disable the internal wireless adapter.

My office desktop has no installed wifi. Our cable internet connection went down but I had never set my desktop up for any kind of tethering. This adapter worked to enable my desktop to use wifi to access a phone hotspot. I now have a backup solution if our cable internet breaks down.

My desk top had no wireless card, the cards I had didn't fit. The house is wired up for Wi-Fi, so I was told about the netgear wireless USB adapter. I have never used one before since. I like the adapter as it was easy to install and works great with no down time.

Have only used this for a total of about 10 days but it worked perfectly for what it said it does. It was easy to set up, easy to use, and I'm not a "tech"-person...Just needed wifi ability in a hotel that didn't have it. Price was right for what it is.

I needed to connect an older desktop computer to the Internet, My house has a cable modem with WiFi, but my old computer had no wireless capability. I went to Best Buy to buy a hub and ethernet cables. The salesperson suggested the Netgear N300 Wireless USB Adapter instead: same price as a hub, but without any need for cables. The Adapter plugs into a USB port on my computer and makes my old computer WiFi-enabled! This Adapter came with a CD containing a driver which had to be installed, which gave me no problems. The Adapter works great, and my wireless Internet connection works really well!
