I ordered online for store pickup. A day after checking out, I received a small refund because the store price had been reduced over the online price that I paid -- a very nice customer relations act on Best Buy's part. The Netgear N300 wireless adapter worked immediately right out of the box. It was very easy to install, automatically configured on my system and had my computer connected to the Internet in minutes. It was been working great every since, no problems whatsoever. I would highly recommend the N300 for anyone who wants a fast, reliable, USB attached wireless adapter.

My 3 year old laptop would no longer connect with my router wirelessly (seemed to be a problem with the built in wireless card) so I purchased the Netgear N300 wireless USB adapter. Very easy to install and took care of the problem immediately. I would highly recommend this product.

During a home visit from the cable company, I shared with the rep that I was in the process of a 30 day move out from a LAN line office environment to a home office. I was now bringing home an office computer with no wireless card and was intimidated at what I thought would be a daunting task setting up a home network with shared drives. The cable company was offering the Netgear N300 at no cost to new subscribers. He had a spare in the truck and left it with me, then gave me his number and said that if I had any problems to call him. I read reviews of the N300 online and for the cost, I questioned its strength. Not only was it pretty much a plug and play setup, but it was able to travel through the concrete walls of my home and 100 feet down my driveway. I’m in the production industry and we do a lot of large media file transfers to ftp’s. The N300 had no problem handling an 88 file/16GB transfer. Only a few months after using the N300, it was crushed during a computer move. This is my 2nd N300 and is still an incredible bargain. There are a few things that could have been done better, but namely, the weight of all the components. The support stand is too light to balance if the cord has even the slightest tension on it. I have to prop it between 2 heavier objects to stabilize it. The other complaint is the durability, but that probably isn’t specific to this item. I can only compare it to a friend’s Verizon hotspot card that had been loaned to me during the interim. The unit was heavier and had a solid, dense plastic and case that protected the unit well. The N300 comes with no case. And holding it, you can tell that it needs to be handled with care. Finally, the mandatory product registration: not a fan. Maybe this is an FCC regulation. I don't think so, but you have to register the product before you can use it. The other unit was crushed on the day of a big job. On a limited time constraint, I was stuck registering a product, which held up production. Aside from the expletives flying through my mind as I trudged through registration, the new unit was up and running fairly quickly. For the price, and despite these few shortcomings, this is the best unit out there.

I have an older computer and needed to make it wireless. I was happy that this small device was able to do the trick without costing a lot of money. I wasn't ready to upgrade to a different computer and this has given me some time to figure out what I want to get in the future.

I've seen some wireless adapters get very hot, and/or fail too soon, but I continue to use Netgear products for their reliability, and they're usually as cheap as other brands. For a long-term investment in connectivity, I can't see paying anything less for an adapter.

I've had an HP desktop for probably 6 years or so. When I upgraded to Windows 10 last year the wireless card stopped working as the drivers were so old that they were no longer supported. So I had been hardwired to the router which was fine. However, I changed my office configuration and that was no longer practical. So I found this little baby. Install was easy and she fired right up. It has worked great other than one little glitch one day. I don't know if maybe there was a Windows update but the wireless stopped working. I reinstalled the driver and life was fine.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Bout for a friend who's wireless card quit working in her laptop and this was a quick, easy solution. Only complaint is the large size. But at least it came with and extension cable and dock.

Works great for computers without a wifi card. It's not the greatest but if your computer doesn't have wifi your options are limited. Does not work with TVs. I knew that before buying, but just a heads up for future buyers.

I bought this wireless adapter for an elderly lady who moved into a retirement community. Her new community furnished WiFi for free so all she needed was an adapter to get online. The Netgear adapter was super easy to install and works great. I'd recommend it.

This wireless adapter makes a great replacement for a laptop Wifi card that isn't working properly. If you have Wifi that no longer is stable, it's most likely the wireless adapter. This is a affordable fix for laptops with bad internal Wifi cards.

I needed to get a Wi-Fi connection to the old computer I have in my office. I put our modem in a central location in our large home, so my office is not close enough to run an ethernet cable from the modem to the PC. I just needed something that would allow our child to get on the internet and be able to do homework. This was the perfect solution. It's very affordable and extremely easy to setup. Just follow the prompts and plug it into your USB port and it's done. Never loses the signal and it's plenty fast for surfing the web and emailing.

No problems what so ever. Works great no issues with it at all. The only thing that's I've had an issue with is that it doesn't start up for my right away I have to unplug it and plug it back in. Not a serious issue to me though cause it works great.
