Initially when I began looking for a new router, it was to gain coverage in my house. I landed on this router because although we have a couple of devices that support "AC" our broadband connection is the limiting factor so "N" is sufficient for all of my connections. The initial setup is very simple and I opted to use the web interface as I like to be a little more hands-on with the configuration as opposed to using the WPS push button configuration for everything. The web config was easy to set up, but a little more explanation could have been helpful with some of the advanced settings as I found that the help tips in the web interface didn't cover all the options being displayed. After finding the user's guide online, it helped explain some things but had to do some Googling to find all the answers. After configuring the SSID's for the 2.4 and 5 GHz radios, my devices linked up quickly and we haven't had any issues yet. It's interesting to pop into the config and see the attached devices and which radio they're connecting to. I've found that the devices closest to the router will connect at 5 Ghz while devices a little further away will use 2.4. This is to be expected based on wireless device operations and penetration through walls, objects, etc. I did find that the Genie app didn't do much for me. It does provide some basic info when using from the PC or smartphone app, but doesn't allow for complete configuration with this model. I'm not sure what all I'd do with it so it's not that big a deal for me. Overall, this has been a great router and has expanded the wireless footprint for me which was my original goal.

Purchased a second router to configure as a bridge for my wired home theater ethernet devices in the middle of my house; I found out that the latest hardware version (v2) has increased capability to easily configure as a bridge from the web interface. I was happy to see instant results and high performance that N900 has to offer.

I had an older Netgear that worked great but could no longer keep up with the demand in our household, so I bought this one. I am very pleased ... it was easy to set up, fast, and has great range in our large 2-story house.

The router itself is more than adequate, capable of running two private networks and a guest network and servicing the entirety of my home. However, The setup was incredibly quick and easy given the surprising simplicity and control afforded by the router's included software. I would highly recommend this router.

Though I am not tech savvy, surprisingly I had no problem whatsoever with setting up the router and getting it to work. A bit pricey for my taste but once I take the time to explore the manual about what other features I can use, that may change.

I love that I can setup several different SSIDs and even have a guest one too for people visiting me. They can access the internet, but not the rest of my home network or NAS. Very east setup, and the application you can run on your phone, tablet and PCs to monitor traffic, make changes and so on is very user friendly.

I won't even pretend I know a thing about routers! Our old one was so outdated- we couldn't get hardly any connection at all. We bought this along with our new Xbox one and it helped the download speeds significantly. For the price, we got what we were looking for! Also, it was super easy to install and hook up!

I bought this router to replace an older one I had that had become outdated and wasn't working with my newer wifi devices (particularly Nest devices). This router was super easy to get set up and running. And it is working great with all the wifi devices we have. I would definitely recommend this router to others!

There are four members in our family and each uses the Wi-Fi....with our old router, we were experiencing delays and freeze ups. With the NetGear N900, connection is quick and easy. My husband is often in his shop which is a considerable distance from the house and he can still connect on the Wi-Fi. Great product!

Picked up this router as an upgrade after purchasing a TiVo unit. I needed 5.0 N signal at the TV and my original router was older and only 2.4. First purchased a LinkSys router. It was dual band but would not deliver a strong signal. So I took that back and purchased this Netgear router. Very pleased with this unit. Nice strong 5.0 signal throughout the house. The 2.4 signal gets even better range out into the yard. Setup was easy. No external antennas so this looks clean sitting on the shelf.

This is a great router so far. The teen of the house crashed the previous router playing XBOX and having multiple devices connected at the same time, but this one has been able to handle the xbox, 2 smartphones, 2 laptops, 2 ipods and more.

Have had this router for a month now. Replaced a 2 year old wireless router that just quit working. Simple setup similar to other routers that I've used. Was able to replicate all the settings from the previous router and our devices connected immediately. Speed and connection have been dependable.

Works well. Happy with the router overall, but I can't get the 5Ghz signal to broadcast properly. I've also had issues with certain devices connecting, but since I do get fast internet on those that do connect and I'm not sure where the issue lies, I'd say I'm happy with this purchase overall.

The product is easy to install. Coverage is great throughout my entire house into back yard. Security settings are a must and also easy to set up. The dual keeps the household running quickly.

Everything about this router is great! Ease of set-up, handy app for checking status and so far, not outages. The only thing that I would say is not fantastic is the range. It's not bad, but for the price, it should have a better range than the N600. Other than that, I am very happy with the N900.

I was AMAZED. I've purchased a new computer since I bought my wireless Brother laser printer (which is about 4 years old). It took less than 2 minutes to set up my printer with this router and prints perfectly. I was expecting an hour of frustrated hair-pulling to get everything to work together.
