So I use this device in a large 3 story 5000+ square Brick home with internal Block & concrete supporting walls. I have this device installed on the 3rd floor hooked to a Hughes net satilite modem. I have full signal strength in 90% of the house and 4 out of 5 in the remaining 10%. I have walked my IPAD out to 50 yards distant away from the house and still have a connectable signal. This is the best wireless router I have ever used. At 140 bucks I see no reason to buy the more expensive 200 dollar model.

I wanted to upgrade from an old Linksys router to something a bit more beafy! This Netgear model has been exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to plug in and get running. The dual band feature makes it easy to keep various devices on different frequencies and the guest function is great. I haven't had to reset it since installing it! Doesn't crash, I get great speed, and everything has just worked. Love it.

This router has really good range for a router without antennas and also has good speed and gigabit lan/wan ports as well. Easy to setup out of the box and a lot of options to do your own customizations.

Needed to replace a failing router and was told that this Netgear N900 would be noticeably faster and would have much greater range than my older Linksys router. While the range is somewhat larger I still have very low signal strength just outside my house. The speed is about par with what I had before. On the plus side, however, it was very easy to install and has not cut out on me since installation.

Replaced an older Netgear with this model. It was very easy to set up, though it is geared towards people who do not know routers. You have to do the basic setup before you can get into the advanced setup and really tweak this router. Great performance in a 2100sq.ft. house and even a OK coverage outside. No big difference in throughput, but we do get stronger signal throughout the house. I'd recommend it and plan to get a second to act as an access point to further my outdoor reach.

Purchased this router about 30 days ago and couldn't be more satisfied. Excellent coverage of our 2700 sq ft 2 story house and no reboots necessary so far. Our Hughes Net Internet never worked better.

This router was extremely easy to set up. It came pre-loaded with named dual band networks (2.4ghz and 5ghz) and a preset password that's easy to remember but definitely not easy to crack. It was great, because I was able to separate my family's gadgets onto the networks and keep everything moving fast and not put too much stress on one network and slowing it down. I gotta say, from opening the box to having it up and running took less than 10 minutes. This is the perfect router for anyone: from the technologically challenged person looking for an easy to set up router to the tech-head looking to save some cash on a decent router that fulfills all your needs.

Waited to make a review, however, I have multiple items in my household constantly using the router and the speed is always fast. Great for gaming and the range is also very nice as well.

This router is a great upgrade from my old model. It has allowed my devices to operate faster online and stretch further in my house.

The Netgear wireless router works flawlessly, I was an Linksys fan for a long time, I am running six devices off of it and not missing a beat. So simple to set up. Awesome product!!!

This router exceeded my expectations in distance and speed. It was easy to install and set up... Now I enjoy wireless connectivity of three devices at home for a reasonable price

I love this router BestBuy helped me pick it and I am glad I got it. It is fast and always connected. I use a lot of devices at once on it and it can handle them all with ease.

This is so much better than my last netgear router. It has so much more range and the signal always comes in strong. My last one got fried in a thunderstorm..........Yeah!

We've used a Net Gear router before and this one was just as easy to set up as the other one. Reaches far and does it's job!

Works very well. Custom setup is easy. Has tremendous range. I sometimes have 12 devices using the internet and/or networking and this unit has operated without a hitch.

Excellent router could not be happier! Has extremely long range and fast wireless speeds and even faster Ethernet. The range even goes outside my house! The setup literally took 10 minutes! The size of it is pretty big thought and the price is kind of high but it is still well worth it!

I found this Netgear router very easy to setup and the range is excellent. I live in large sized brick house our laptops never have a problem finding the signal.

I know there are better routers out there but not for the price. This is incredibly fast, it's very easy to log into and change settings. Best I personally have owned!

this router was easy to set up and works very well. very speedy and have had no issues with this router. Seems to be working very smoothly with my H.P. computer.

I replaced my other router with this one that is just a hair faster. I like its modern design too, which made me want to get it more. It was somewhat of a hassle to set up only because it did not want to work with the settings I was putting in. These settings were the same exact settings I used in the last model that is almost the same product. Finally I reverted all settings back to default. Then I put my settings in once again and it took off with no issues. You can install the Netgear genie to your phone as well and control it if you need with your cell phone. Fast, modern design, many features.
