    I have a very old laptop that was getting choked up as I surfed. After speaking with a representative at Best Buy to try and figure out the problem we came up with this solution and it WORKED, I had a few problems setting up but it is now up and helping! Love it and has taken my frustration down a notch.

    It is good product comparing price. It's design is poor as it is thick enough that it will not fit to width in sleek laptops. To avoid that it has an adapter which is more useful if it is a desktop. You cannot clip this adapter to your laptop anywhere. You have to basically carry it separately. It is good if you do not find a sleeker model than this one. Right now since it is slighty bend because of its poor design. I brought since my laptop's inbuilt wifi has issues with greater bandwidth. I would recommend this for a desktop and not for a laptop.

    I purchased the adapter because the internal WiFi on my computer was not working properly. After consulting with the geek squad they resolved my problem and I no longer needed the adapter. The adapter worked great but did not help extend the range, that is the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars.

    Had trouble with my 10 year old laptop with the network adapter connection issues. plugged this in and it works without a hitch. Only wish it was dual band. The higher model took a usb3 port for proper power which my older model laptop did not have so no other choice but this one with only a single 2.4ghz band.
