It was much cheaper but problematic because for no apparent reason my computer would less network access and nothing that I did would seem to fix it. Then, just as mysteriously as it lost access, it would get it back. I assumed something was going on with the hot spot. Well, this new adapter has worked from the moment I plugged it in to the computer and hasn't given me a moment without access. I'm pleased.
