Appears that it does not play well with Windows 7.

Indeed, this device registers a strong a signal. Still, it is not able to maintain a connection with the router. Seems like a conflict between the adapter and the operating system.

Netgear adapter connection cuts on and off

The adapter doesn't adapt to everything
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new NetGear modem/router for wireless for my home system when the old one failed, then needed to replace the old NetGear wireless receiver/adapter on the TiVo system because it used WEP, not WPS security. The new adapter was not recognized by the TiVo system, so I had to return it and get a TiVo brand adapter. Probably not the adapter's fault, but it sure was a hassle.

Don't work wit windows 8 at all

You have to go to web suite to get the down load witch is suppose to work but don't. Called support they said get a different model. I did a Belkin.
