Customers are saying
Customers are delighted by the N900 Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter's ease of use, impressive performance, and reliable connection. Many appreciate its strong signal and wide range, even without an external antenna. While some users noted the adapter's size and occasional compatibility issues, the positive feedback on ease of installation and performance outweighs these concerns. The adapter is also praised for its reasonable price.

DOA on purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am sure this might be a good product. However, the one I purchased was DOA out of the box. I plugged it in, it went through and connected. Then it never worked again. It is unfortunate, but I just exchanged it for the model one step up (I believe the AC1200) and I have been very happy with that.

I bought this baby 4 years ago, ready to review.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is still running strong, i can't believe it myself , i've read about people having trouble with gaming and streaming problems going with Wifi over EtherNet Connection. Let me tell you I have had none. I've played the same games wired(i have a 50ft cable) and wireless, no difference. This baby is kickin me the exact speeds i have paid for with no lag, ping, drops(Too low to notice, if does exist) :) 5/5 great product would buy again, but don't have to cause this one seems to be indestructible , I run my PC 24/7w/ sleep mode, with this for almost 4 years now

Netgear worked flawless
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reading some bad Reveiws, I still opted to try this product. Setup was easy and bug free- follow instructions. Used during a LAN party and was lag free. Keep in mind a good router is needed to receive top performances speeds.

great wireless adapter!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I just moved to my new apartment and didn't want cords. Anyways was skepticle on going wireless again because I am a gamer and needed a fast connection that won't lag. So far I had it for 3 days and it has never lagged or dropped any of my online gaming (sc2/WoW/D3). This is an amazing little adapter and its one of the fastest at 450 (most are 300). Extremely easy to install, and if you have issues or troubles installing... you probably fail at life. Anyways highly recommend this little adapter as I am a gamer approving of this adapter.

This wifi adapter is a stress reliever.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using the Trendent TPL-406E (powerline network) for several months because I wanted my PC hardwired without running a cat 5 cable from my second floor to my first floor. With this, I had to constantly unplug the adapter, or the modem to get this thing connected. Not just initially, but almost every time I needed to connect my first floor pc to the internet. I tried a USB WiFi adapter before the Trendent, but the signal was so weak then that it didn't make sense. Another problem that this Trendent apparently caused was my 2nd floor PC would never connect to the network without unplugging the modem. My Xbox One and PS3 was fine most of the time, but not my PC. I just blamed Cox for the modem they provided. After become frustrated one day because I wanted to watch a movie I decided I had enough. I went to best buy looked at the different adapter, reviewed them on my phone, and decided to get this one. I went home plugged it and installed the software, and have not had any network problems since. I have been using this adapter for a few weeks now with no issues. After running a speedtest, it's just as fast as the Trendent when it is working well.

Excellent, easy & works on Windows 8 OS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The disk that comes with this product (currently) does not support Windows 8. The instructions tell you to install the cd first. I tried that and it did not work because it was not supported. However, I simply plugged the wireless adapter into a USB port ... and it immediately was set up by Microsoft with their own built in drivers ... and I was literally connected to my wifi within 10 seconds without having to do a single thing. My connection is very fast and very strong ... and it is set up one level below the wifi router. I could not be more pleased currently, and would currently recommend this product.

Great connection and speed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy installation. I wanted to have a custom made computer leaning towards gaming purposes and this adapter was perfect for it. Reliable connection even when active for days at a time. It's worth every penny. I've only used it on a wind7 os.

Fast and reliable on Ubuntu and Windows 7
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast and reliable connection to a distant router (I use my building's wifi) with both Windows 7 and Ubuntu 14.04 (but would not be compatible with versions of linux that are not fairly recent). Driver installation from the cd is fast and simple on windows. Driver installation is not necessary on Ubuntu, as the drivers are included in the kernel. Comes with a nice extended cable/stand so you can position it for optimal signal. It does feel like it might not be of super sturdy construction, but I don't see that as a big problem as it shouldn't ever by subjected to any significant physical strain.

Compact, powerful and easy to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Overall quality is very good and the WiFi range is dramatically improved over my laptop internal WiFi radio. Cons: Still an inconvenience to plug into the USB port of my laptop, but it gets the job done very well

Wish I had bought one of these a long time ago
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been having problems with the wireless card in a computer that is still under warranty. I didn't want to go through the hassle of sending it in and all that and didn't want to void my warranty by installing a new card. I finally gave up today when I couldn't do what I needed to do so I jumped in the car and drove to BB. I really needed to have a good internet connection today. Got home, plugged this bad boy in (didn't use the software disc). It either had software on board or the internet connection that I had was good enough to download. In either case all I had to do was go to networks and change from the wireless card to the USB adapter with one click and done. I am one floor below and a couple walls and about 30 feet from the router. Using a hard wired connection my download speed is normally 55Mbps. Using this I am getting over 50Mbps. Almost no loss. The best the wireless card ever did was about 15 Mbps but lately it's been 2Mbps and lower. I wish I had bought this a long time ago.
