Met my needs to access to access my wifi when my laptop wifi card failed

Easy installation and overall a good product. Hasn't failed me yet.

USB adapter worked great just as intended with problems

Not the best wireless adapter, as you can find better for similar prices. But for short distance, unobstructed wifi connection it does the job.

I have had some bad luck with Netgear products lately and this was no exception. I didn't get a very good 5g signal though out my house and had some dropped signal issues. The product itself quit working after just a month and would not power back on. I sent my wife to purchase this item for me and she did not get the warrenty, so I had to purchase a new one. I went with a Linksys AE3000 and i love it. I have also gone through two Netgear wireless routers in the past two years. Needless to say I will not be buying anymore Netgear products and have switched to Linksys.

I've gone through two of these things and neither one worked right out of the box. Tried them on different computers thinking it was the computer I was trying to put it on and still didn't work. They both were completely dead and defective.

Windows sees this device but it cannot be enabled. The "Genie" mgmt software ran once, announced it could not find the device and never opened again. Netgear offered to t/s my system for $79.95. (for a ($30 promo item?). All this on a clean Windows 7, 8GB system with ZoneAlarm and AVG. Netgear used to be the easiest to install. (Retired folk like to reminisce.) The N900 router could not read my settings from my system and needed manual configuration. Piece of cake, but why, in the Apple age of technology.

Even though the Best Buy website says it works with Mac, Netgear products are not compatible with Apple operating systems. They only work with Windows operating systems.

Yes it does work for gaming, but if you do an interent speed test you only get to about 3mbps with a ping of like 400. Use an ethernet cord and I got 16mbps and a ping of 4. GOod to connect you to the internet, not fast at all.

I placed this unit two rooms from router but still a very poor signal strength.

Don't buy it if you need the signal to transmit through an entire house

The adapter does not work through concrete and comes with a usb cable that is about 2.5 feet. What is the point if I still have to hold the computer up to the window? My comuter's built-in adapter is much faster.

Could not get it to work. Customer Support in India over a bad connection was the worse experience of my life. I took it back immediately.

I have used other Netgear products and am quite pleased with them. Since product, I am disappointed that my wireless configuration is lost next time I start Windows 7.

After 30 minutes installing and 36 minutes with India support the final solution proposed by my new friends in India was "return it". Okay then.
