My old network adapter died and I needed a new one. Did some research and found that this unit had great reviews. They were right. This little unit picks up strong wireless waves and allows my computers upstairs to use the signal from 2 floors up in a townhouse.

Bought this for a friend who is visiting his folks form out of state. He didn't want to have to keep using a long lan cable to hook into his parent's network. Set-up was reasonably easy, but the software did initially stop responding during the update phase. We just restarted the program, and it updated fine and started running. Once up and running, it works great. The range seems pretty reasonable too. Once he was able to unhook from the LAN cable, he moved his system to a back bedroom (one floor, medium- sized house). Still gets a great signal. Reasonably simple to install (just follow the included directions), and does exactly what it says it will.

Good: It works, for one. It can pick up a signal just fine. It's pretty easy to set up, just follow the directions. It is idiot proof installation as it is a USB. Bad: The range isn't that great, the "range extension cord" is a 3' cord that you can use to get it into a better position, and it doesn't fire up immediately as the USB drivers have to kick in. In all, this is the next best thing if you can't install a PCI slot WiFi card or don't want to. I use this just because I am out of PCI slots in my motherboard and it does it's purpose just fine. It is like scrambled eggs: hard to mess up, hard to be anything more than it is.

This product works great! I receive good internet signal upstairs. The router is downstairs. The signal goes thru walls too. Even at my Church i get good signal. The router is even farther from me there. Prolly about 125 ft away and i stil get internet signal!

It was easy to install, configure, and use. Not sure if it's the adapter or my DSL, but I do have periodic slow speeds. Pretty sure it's the adapter though because I'm not having problems from any of my other devices. But overall it does what I bought it for.

I've had my desktop for years, and at the time I purchased it, wireless was starting to become a necessity but not all computers were equipped for it. This adapter is the best by saving me money on not having to buy a new computer, time and convenience. Netgear is the best.

Cable guy was going to charge me $75 to run a new cable line so we we could move the CPU to another room. This adapter was all we needed at half the price. We can now move the CPU to any room we choose, when ever we want. Thanks for the freedom NETGEAR

I bought this adapter b/c my NIC had compatibility issues w/ Windows 8.1 and my network connectivity would drop. Don't bother w/ the included installation CD. Plug it in and Windows 8.1 will discover it. I disabled my NIC so it would not interfere w/ this adapter. I had one incident where the device was lost by Windows, but that occurred after a Windows 8.1 update. After I restarted the computer again, the device was found and my network connectivity was fine again.

This wireless card made my not ready to be replaced computer usable in my daughter's bedroom, as it was an HP desktop model made just before the standard wireless networking card was installed as a standard feature. With our home on a wireless router, this was the only way I was going to get my daughter connected to the internet without calling the cable company to install a jack in her room. This card was easy to install and use, and connected right away. I would recommend it to anybody looking to hold onto a slightly older computer just a little longer and get a wireless internet connection.

We just moved to a new home, and all my existing computer equipment had to be relocated based upon the location of my cable outlets. I previously hard-wired my desktop PC, and never used a WiFi connection with it. This quickly and easily connected with my router! Great buy!

Couldn't see any Wi-Fi networks on my pc and troubleshooting pointed to a bad adapter card. Purchased this Wireless USB Adapter, went home, ran the setup disc, plugged the adapter in and was back in business. Very easy setup and it is working flawlessly.

This was an easy fix for my in-laws who reside in an assisted living facility to connect to Wi-Fi. Works for everybody that needs to use-cell,pc and tablets. It had easy to follow instructions and was very simple to install and connect to Wi-Fi.

Works just as its suppose to. I don't have a Internet connection near my desktop computer so instead of having a long internet cord running through my house, I bought this product to connect the Internet wirelessly. It's so easy to use too.
